Hey, look who's car is for sale? Again.
Some of you may recognize this car.
It belonged to a certain Mercedes forum owner who lost interest in the car
and in turn the forum. Unfortunately he didn't want to let someone else take over,
so all the content provided by the members was lost.
A lot of good info down the toilet.

Funny, I recall it sold for 17K originally with 1/2 as many miles.
Now they're trying to get $23K.

It's a very nice example of a C230. Just about every possible upgrade you could get.
Brabus, AMG, Porche brakes, bix, Kleeman stuff....
+ custom widebody. Supposedly it's Ferrari paint too. Not a stock color.

http://www.autofind.com/dealer/detai...N47JX2A318296/

I always wanted to see this car in person.
Might make the trip.

Here's a link with the original build specs, though who knows about it's current state.
I don't see any carbon fiber anything. Which reminds me he had made some
carbon fiber seat backs that were quite nice. Suggesting he might make some more
for sale got him banned from this site, and created quite a stir.
He never made any more.
280 HP ? Can I get a dyno please?

http://www.euroteknik.com/forum/468735-post1.html

"The clean coupe uses the factory 2.3-liter supercharged engine with a few extras, including a Brabus exhaust system, Kleeman pulley and engine management software, a RENNtech intercooler, and a Supersprint exhaust manifold. This little Mercedes pumps out roughly 280 bhp and 260 lb-ft at 5800 rpm "

I call BS. I seem to recall he said he never installed the Supersprint header...it's the one I have!
I bought it still in the plastic shrink wrap.
RENNtech intercooler was shown to actually reduce power when dyno tested.
So that just leaves the pulley, exhaust and chip.
Did Brabus make a coupe exhaust?
Not aware of one.

The only company that made a complete exhaust for the C Coupe was Supersprint, (correct me if I'm wrong)
others only made mufflers. And the Brabus muffler was supposedly made by Remus, which is the one
I have. Except I actually do have the header, though my exhaust system is a hodgepodge
conglomeration of separate components, it's very adequate and sounds great.

So in the end, I'm guessing it has a Kleeman pulley, and he claimed one off Kleeman ECU
flash and a Remus supplied Brabus muffler doesn't = 280HP.
Still nice car. I'll offer 10K he he.

Still bitter about his forum, are we? Me too, obviously.

What do you mean by "complete" exhaust? I've got the Eisenmann catback on my car, and aren't there a couple of others with one, too?

As Crazie Eddie would say, that price is insane! Good luck to the seller; they'll be lucky to get 13-15.

Bitter? Ha, well I tried to present the info with as little emotion as possible. Ha ha.
It's a beautiful C Coupe, no doubt.

It's all in the past. Just wish the content could've been saved.
A lot of DIY's and good stuff down the tubes.
You never know when someone might just decide to flush all the content in any forum. Or it gets lost.
So when you see something be sure to print it as a pdf and save it!

Was there a Brabus catback? Sorry but a catback is still just a muffler that bolts on instead of welding.
Supersprint had a complete system, header, resonator, and muffler, though the whole thing would set you back like 2-3 grand.
Cat? What cat?
Just the muffler was a grand, the header originally was sold in a group buy for I think like $600, but went to something like 850 new from SS america.

Do they still have Crazy Eddies?
Ha, I remember that from my Jersey Shore days, though no one looked like anyone in the stupid show where I lived in Rumson.
Next guy I see with a gerber baby hairstyle is gettin' wacked!
We belonged to a beach club in Seabright, left when I was 18.
Beachclubs were best part of jersey.
Whatever happended to that drive through safari place with the amusement park in Jersey?

Do they still have that guy, "Hey Gerry what's the story?"
They did a spoof of him on SNL, though no one on the west coast woulda gotten the joke.

Sorry but I do not miss NJ.

You're talking about Great Adventure. It's still doing well, though I haven't been to it in years. I grew up in the suburbs of Philly on the PA side, so I can still say I'm a temporary Jerseyite.

Crazy Eddie went to jail (surprise, surprise!) for fraud, I believe. Also think he died several years ago; he didn't look too young in the commercials, so it makes sense.

OK, now I get the "full' exhaust thing. And I'd agree that I don't know of any other manufacturer who ever offered one. But what's the fun in doing that? Much more fun to mish mash everything, and hope for the best.

Yea, a lot of people put in time there to make good DIYs on that site. I think he could have actually made money from all of the people offering to help support the site.

Can't blame a person from profiting. I don't think the car is worth that. Not even half of that.

As for the old website, I recall a girlfriend of his expressing how he paid the bills for bandwidth etc. He took the site down and was quite selfish in the act of it.

Ehh, another bit of darkness in our Coupes legacy. Unfortunately his part in it is only noteworthy because of his selfishness.

Thanks Terry

brabus did make a ccoupe exhaust. it was resonator back and you cut off the original and bolt it in place. no welding needed.

i'm still gonna make jokes about this Honda Insight...

too bad he is blocking most of his intercooler with the license plate, I think I would rather have my bumper cluttered up then restricting airflow to the IC

Oh wow. Good luck trying to get $24k. Wasn't that the price of the car when brand new (USA)?

Yeah I still remember writing the DIYs for my bi-xenon install and AMG sway bar upgrades on the other forum. *cough* All for nothing.

With that said, does anyone else here have mbklasse stickers on their car?
