Amber Fog Housings With HID Lighting?
I am thinking about getting these...
Anyone have these housings from Winjet?
Anyone have these and use an HID light source?
Just concerned about melting and color output.
Currently I use a 35w 6000K HID kit in my OEM driving light housings.

sorry i can't help, haven't had experience with those lights yet. i actually can't decide if i want to get just regular HID or the amber ones now that i've seen what giannidy's look like, the amber look good!

You can just purchase the 3k hid bulb and get the yellow/amber output you want. But if you want the clear lens and not the frosty the ones you posted should be ok. It should not melt even if you're using a hid kit. But if you're concerned I'd contact the manf and ask them.

I'm sure the lenses are made to somewhat near factory spec so I would bet that you won't have any issues with hid in there. And since you have 6k in there already it should put out the same color as the lenses because 6k should be diamond White.
