The car has been great. I love it, but I need something with more backseat room for the kids and their big honk'n car seats. I only hope that I can be as happy in something larger. I still think mine is one of the best looking from the factory of all C-classes.

Talk about a very clean and fully loaded C class. Good Luck with the sale. I'm sure you'll easily sell it. It's show room condition!!!
What do you plan on buying next? Still MB?

Probably E-class or Lexus GS, have to look at a few more though. Might even go bigger (S or LS) if I can find a deal.Originally Posted by Karo

I think that you could be very happy in an E55

I agree, but I prefer the W210 E55 for its bulletproof reputation, sportier handling, better economy, and more roomy interior. Hard to find one of those with reasonably low mileage in EX condition. Been looking for a couple months in fact. Almost flew up to Philly to look at one.Originally Posted by Boom vang

Here are a couple W210 E55s with 50k miles on them for under $20k. GLWS!

you can get w211 e55's for less than $20k in my area, not super low miles of course. as a c55 owner, i tip my hat to how beautiful that c350 is Originally Posted by BigBodyBenzC240

i hope you get the right amount of money for it.Hmm. I thought there would be more interest in this car given its rarity. Price has been revised to $20K even. Can't go much lower. That is the KBB trade-in value for 'excellent condition'

Of course, and Cars.com, and the 'other' forum.Originally Posted by vdemon311

Honestly your car is very very rare! But most people that search for that particular model DO NOT Search for a C350 but rather look for C230. That can be hindering you?? MAybe by putting emphasis on Bixenons?

Dunno. When I was shopping, I was just researching the C-class in general. After looking for a very brief time, I decided I wanted the C350 above all others (why not get the biggest engine, especially if it gets better gas mileage, right?). Then I started searching for it and when I found mine locally, I acted quickly.Originally Posted by Norwichdelta06

Sorry bro, but clean trade on your car is about $18.6k. That's from what dealers go by.Originally Posted by billbillw

I never said that is what a dealer would give on a trade-in. I said that is what KBB lists on their website for trade-in value on this car. That is with actual options/mileage entered and select excellent condition. Originally Posted by OneOfaKindTrini

Regardless, the price is well below all the book values for private sale. Any lower and its not worth it to sell for me.

Well I was trying to be of help, KBB is not accurate.
Starting to look like I'll be keeping the car. Just not worth it for me to drop the price any lower. I'm just really surprised that I haven't had more inquiries. I've sold many cars and usually when you price it at or below Edmunds, they come running. I guess the market is really soft.

Out Of Control!!
Bill I found it very difficult to sell my C350, took several months posted with an asking price WELL below blue book, and even then I'd only get the most ridiculous lowball offers.
Quote:
I'm already pretty far below Kelly and even below Edmunds TMV. It just doesn't make sense to sell it any lower. I do actually like the car and would be happy driving it for some time. I thought I could slide out pretty easily and get something larger (and sacrifice some sportiness) for the kids.Originally Posted by e1000

For some reason, I thought it would be a quick seller due to its rarity. Me the fool. Like I said, I do like driving the car, and of course, I can't complain about the gas mileage. The cars I was looking at would never get the same kind of mileage.

Only the people on this forum will appreciate the rarity. Everybody else sees it as the old model before the 2008 w204. Your pricing was also only about $4K lower than the w204 c350. I think most people would go for the w204 if they could swing the extra money.Originally Posted by billbillw

Not sure I can agree with much of anything you said. Most of the '08s I've seen for sale are priced much higher than $24k (unless they have accident history or higher mileage). I'm also not sure why you think most would go for a w204 over a w203. If someone likes the look of the W203, they wouldn't be looking at the newer model. Even if they did, they would find a car that has a cheaper feel to it and lower overall performance (handling, acceleration, etc). Also, anyone who knows about German cars will always stay away from the 1st model year of a new platform.Originally Posted by Dingleberry
