C230K Zaino'ed... Impromptu Photoshoot
Pictures are pretty damn crappy and I just ran them through a rough preset filter that kind of over saturated them a bit but nonetheless here they are:
Car doesn't have anything real fun done to it exterior wise... Eibach Pro Kit, debadged, clear corners, new hankook evo's, and a eurocharge tune, and of course some fresh MB tranny fluid .
Car got no paint correction prior to zaino but I just did their new Z-AIO for a base coat, and then topped with their new Z-CS. Pretty impressed with the new Z-CS... went on in about 10 minutes and you don't have to buff it off.
Might go crazy layering some Z-2, onto it and another top of Z-CS but for now she's pretty shiny as it is.
1 month into ownership and even though i've had to track down minor little issues this car is the nicest car i've ever owned. Does a little bit of everything really well!

ZAINO is the best wax ever!! I've used Techwax 2.0.... Mothers 3 steps! Mequirs Ultimate and Mequirs Showcar glaze... the ZAINO was the best!! And if you touch the paint its weird.. it feels like silicon but smooth??? I dunno how to describe it. But all you need is the ZAINO Z2

I've been out of the loop for a few years now, but anything by Optimum, Duragloss, Werkstat, etc. Check out the detailing forum...there's a lot of good info in there. Anyways, back to the original topic lol

Not to get too off topic, but Zaino is intended as a multi-step application. Technically you're supposed to use ZFX of ZAIO prior to Z2 which drives up the price.

The customer support that I got when I tried it was terrible.
I will be forthright and say that I have taken both the beginner and advanced course at Mequiars so I am familiar with the product layout.
There are far more economical options to achieve the same result.

Has anyone ever used a gloss meter to measure the objective shine of Zaino? It is no different than any other polish or wax. The idea that you can put any polish product on in coats is the same as "lather, rinse, repeat" on shampoo. They want you to use it twice as fast. If you shampoo correctly, you don't need to do it again. When you put a second coat of polish on your car, you are filling in the places you missed the first time and the solvents that allow you to put the product on the paint are taking off the first application.
Zaino is not promoted with any objective advertising, only the subjective opinion of the fan base. Like Lucas Oil, Royal Purple, or Lady GaGa there is lots of sizzle, but no steak.

The steak for me is that I don't have to reapply every month. I prefer sealants and their new Z-CS you don't even have to buff off... apply on it about 5 minutes and you let it cure for an hour or so but your done. That an the bottle I got will last me freaking years.
Is the shine "better"? I think there is something to be said for those guys who are layering Z2/Z5 10+ times ontop of each other. Better than other sealants? Don't know... doesn't really matter that much to me. It works great, protects great, went on in about 5 minutes and protects for over a year. Works for me.
