Anyone know where to get a good inexpensive diecast w203 model?
I contemplating to get a diecast model of a w203 for my office desk. I've seen many for sale on the ebay and googled a few stores. But I'm just throwing out here if anyone knows an online dealer (new or preowned) who sells them. I'm not huge into models but I don't need the most expensive accurate model but at the same time, it's gotta look nice and be fairly detailed.
This being a car forum, I'm guessing there are collectors here.
The w203 AMG C32 looks closest to my car in the models I've googled.
This set would be so nice but at 299EU, no thanks.

There is a tiny one, 1:87, I have my eye on but the 1:43 is my preferred. I don't want it too big.
I also really like this:
Benz Patent Motorwagen (1886)

Discastexchange ah? Never heard of it. Is it US or international based? I wouldn't mind exchanging some of my models for Merc ones. I got a couple of German SCHUCO Porsche's and a nice Bentley contentment in a very cool packaging. I'll join the forum now. Whats your username there?

I wish I could find one as well.
This is the best I've got:
If you look to the far right corner, you'll see a tiny 1:87 scale model. That was a pin/model given to W202 owners right as the W203 was being released.
I usually collect AutoArt, Minichamps or Kyosho. The cheaper models of mine were all bought from a dealership and were the MB branded ones...
Some of my other models:
I've gotten a few more models since those pics were taken, but I've been too lazy...

I'm from Germany and lived near Stuttgart as a child. You'll have a great time there! Go to some of the flea-markets if you like car models. They sell all sorts of stuff there very cheap.

about 3 yrs ago when i decided to start spending 100/month on models, i decided that ill go only with 1 18 scale because of their detail
i knew if i went 143 i could get more variety, but less detail.
i also decided to stick with mercs only because other wise, this would be just ridiculous as to how many cars i want
i do have a series of m3's and 635csi

CMC makes the best models with high attention to detail, they are works of art but expensive and limited to classic versions of the various brands

I'm not really adding much these days as I already gotten high quality 1/18's of my favorite cars of all time (McLaren F1 and F40), but adding models of cars I've owned over the years is always something that I've needed to get.

+1 not bad for a cheapo version Though the W203 that they sell is flawed in that it it has a M111 engine but the badging on the trunk says C320 and the brake calipers are in the wrong orientation

I just bought this one from ebay after winning the bid. Just under $19USD. Its a very small 1:87 model perfect for my office.
I'll try to find a 1:43 also.

This one looks fantastic!
But with other hobbies, i.e collecting watches, I think I'll keep looking at mid-range models.
