Hiighway Vibration with a rumble!
I have recently purchased my 2003 Mercedes C320 4matic sport and on the highway about 60mph and up I can hear a slight vibration in the rear, when I accelerate you can hear it less and when I let go of the gas pedal you can hear it louder. I dont feel the vibration but can hear it. Now today I came back from work I accelerated to 80mph and let go to reduce speed and can hear a rumber for about a 2 seconds from 80-75mph. Any ideas?

it might be your exhaust. You might have a broken hanger. Does it only happen on the highway? That or it could be worn out bushings in the suspension. I'd jack the car up and remove the wheels to see if there's any moving parts that shouldnt be and look at all the bushing and suspension components.

sounds like a seized parking brake, the mechanism that is under the seat suffers from corrosion and does not fully release the brake and will make a nasty sound at highway speeds. Since you are from NH, they use salt there and I would check that first. Others in the rust belt have experienced the same problems and would check some of the threads

You know that sounds like a good theory because one time when I accidently got into my car I hit the parking brake and when I released it by the handle the light would still be on till I messed around with the part to try and make the light go away. So it might still be holding, I will have my mechanic check it out as soon as I get these sway bar links replaced!

My old EPC shows no replacement or kit to repair. Neither does RMeuropean.
I hope one does not have to buy a replacement propshaft. There must be an aftermarket repair kit.
