The car currently has aftermarket xenon Depos. I believe that Glyn is correct when he states that the car was originally equipped with the "frosty" xenons. That would explain the extraneous plugs.

Do you know the correct part number for the factory HIDs ballast? I am basing my guess of the part number on this ebay auction: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/MERCE...-/290548835570

Let me bring this thread around full circle.

Given that the car was originally equipped with factory "frosty" HIDs with self leveling, would these Depos be plug-and-play compatible? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/01-07...item231305c609

Would there just be empty plugs, or is the wiring harness completely different with the original HIDs?

Thanks

They will work fine but with spare plugs as they do not have auto levelling facilities.

See the warning at the bottom of the ad.

Have been searching for info on replacing the bix ballast on left side.

Right side I can access by removing splash shield but on left the washer resevoir is in the way after shield is removed. Do I have to remove bumper of is there another work-around
