Dissapointed with drop on 2003 Coupe
I put Eibach sprindgs and AMG sway bars on my C230K Coupe a couple of weeks ago. Very dissapointed with the drop, after this time the drop in the front is still less than an inch in the front, o.7 inches to be exact. Less than 2 tenths in the rear.
Attached is a photo of the front, looks like too much space to me.
What should I do, go to 19 inch wheels?

Did you get the Eibach Pro-Kit Springs: 2564.140 ?
If you have the Eibach Pro-Kit Springs: 2563.140; I'll swap with you. I have the H&R, which will give you the drop you're looking for. They have about 250 miles on them, otherwise they look brand new. I took them off my car because they were too low. Do a search in the forum to get an idea of the drop for the H&R's.

Eibach is never meant to drop very low at the beginning. Is there any reason why you bought Eibach? Yes, H&R should lower you car more. It doesnt make a BIG difference if you put 19" wheels on, the diameter of a 17" tire is 25.1" and the diameter of a 19" tire is 25.4". The tire gap will be decreased by 0.3".

I should add that I love the way the car handles, as smooth as a MB should be, but handles very good now.
I have been checking at the TireRack, the smallest 19 inch tire for our upgrade was 25.6 inches. Not much larger. The recommended 18 inch tires were right at 25.2 inches.
If I get those large Canadian C7 rims with 255 x 40 x 17 they are 25.1 in Pilots. But the width will fill the rear wheel well and I can lower the rear using smaller rubber pads. I have 4's in, and 2's on hand.

Thanks,
I have been using the microfiber towels since they first came out. Use Griots Garage Best of show wax. I clayed the car at 1,000 miles and waxed. I use Speed Shine for any spots, bird droppings etc. Why is it as soon as you wax a car, birds dump on it. My red Lincoln Mark VIII had a fantastic wax job, one hour later six bird hits!!!!
Hey, If I get two wider rear rims and tires, and someone else in southern california does the same, there will be one complete C7 wheel package.
Actually I will have all the wheels polished like Mark's. Polish 2 at a time, and I will have enough 225 45 17 tires to last 40,000 miles.
Mark didn't say how expensive, at least he mentioned the company who polished his rims.

I also got Eibach kit fitted in my car, they are simply the best
Before I have this W203, I used to drive a SLK with H&R suspension, but I dont like it cos it lower too much and too hard making the ride very bumpy

The Car CAN be Lowered with H/R sport springs with the Thin 1 bump/notch pads Without any Rubbing with the WIDER rear C7 Wheels 17x8.5 and 255/40/17 I Dont have any Rubbing in the Wifes car!

Interesting. I had the Eibachs on my c coupe last fall and I have recently installed the H&Rs. I find the H&R's to be much more comfortable and progressive.
I haven't tried the H&R cup-kit or coilovers, or the Carlssons, or the KWs, or the Votlands so I wouldn't go so far as to say either are the best, but the ride height, drivability, and progression of the H&R springs seem much nicer then the Eibachs.
