I need opinions on a cars value!
Ok everyone I come to you with a serious question. I know someone selling a 2007 mercedes C350 6 speed manual transmission. Black on black with about 43k. 1 owner and clean history. What do you think its worth? Im not asking for book value...
Thanks in advance

Most of the C class (W204 are automatic, 7 speeds). Very few are 6 speed manual (I used love to drive manual shift cars, but with age & my knee join problems affect the driving joy of manual transmission, I never look back to manual transmission !!!!). MB stop import the manual transmission to the USA a couple years ago ? (start 2010 if my memory serve me right ?), that why the 6 speed manual is for the die-hard (manual shifting is very few !!!!), the resale value of the 6 speed manuals (almost NON existant for MB brand) is VERY LOW. My guest is W204 with 6 speeh manual, is in the LOW 20's (not even match the LOW 20's of the 7 speed auto !!!!! (with the same mileage). That's my opninion !!!

Thank you for the info. Now this would be a sweet car to build, but my next question is if you got the car to make a lot more power would the transmission be able to hold it? I cant find any aftermarket clutch or flywheel and I dont think companies make custom products..

2006 C230 6 speed
The market is not great for W203 mods. But i'm sure others will be more helpful then i. I have to ask, why sell an AMG to buy a C class to start heaving moding for power?
As an off topic opinion, some say that MB gear box/clutch are not that great (rubber feel ect) but i have had mine awhile now and the clutch feel is among the best I've driven.

Well I heard of a C350 6 speed manual that was a twin turbo setup. To have a W203 c class that is MANUAL and also is a V6 Bi-turbo would deffinitely be a amazing car. But if you cant have the transmission hold the power that will deff be a BIG problem..

Agreed with John. It's a fair price at $18,000 and probably as rare as the C55. The manual transmission is not equipped to handle huge power, though, so that's a consideration.

Im pretty sure they made more C55 AMG's than they did the C350 manual. Yeah well I was interested until I realized the transmission is going to be the biggest problem building it.. No point of giving that car and extra 250+hp if its just going to slip..

Im remember Karo posting some info on the C350 6 speed transmission and how it is different than the 230 2.5 manual and stating that it was stronger.
Found a company that is willing to make a clutch and flywheel kit...

Out Of Control!!
Hmmm, do tell! I'd love to find a decent clutch/light flywheel combo.
And yes, a 350 with a manny is much, much rarer than a C55, which really isn't that rare.

Drove that one today at the dealership. I was very impressed. They wanted 22,500 so I left.. Almost seemed somewhat slow but I have been driving a C55 and a modded subaru. I found a 2006 c350 with 28k miles!

22500 for a W203? Damn...
Never driven a W203 C350, but if I would think planting the 3.5 liter engine from my wife's W204 to my younger daughter's 05 C230, all I can think is damn! Especially on with a manual tranny.

The other one I found I can get for about 17,300. I will hopefully be getting that one.. Regarding the rarity the dealer said they only made 130 c350 mannys in 07. Most likely about the same in 2006.

You haven't mentioned how the manual transmission drove ?.
I have heard that they are a little knotchy with a long throw & a hard clutch that is not particularly easy to sync..
