2 Features on the car that is quickly becoming favorites!

I am not sure which cars have which features, but I have 2 features on my car that seem insignificant, but I am in love with them.

1. Rest

My GF was in my car the other day and for specific reasons, the car could not be on, and she was cold. I activated the 'rest' feature on the climatronic and the car was nice and warm 10 mins later. I realize that I use this feature quite often, and I am happy that I have it.

2. A/C in Arm Rest Box

Since I have the Pano Roof I like to drive with the roof open and the windows down, and the A/C off. I had a 45 min drive yesterday and I wanted to keep my sandwhich cold, so I could eat it when I got to my destination. I turned the a/c on...set both controls to low and closed all the vents except the arm rest box. I put the speed at approx. 50% and put the sandwhich in the box. 45 mins later I was at my destination and my sandwhich was icy cold...mmm...another feature that I love.

It's these little things that make the car much more usefull.

yeah the Benz has a few of those "neat" features. The rest feature, is nice when you run into the store for a few minutes, or to go inside to pick up your gf, and the car is still warm when you come back out. I have actually found that the heat will come out for around 45 minutes before its no more hot air.

Another thing is that AC in the armrest thing. Its nice to have cool sunglass's on a hot day!

I also like the windows up and down feature with the remote. Although it only works when about 20ft from the car its still fun.

I wish Mecedes offered Keyless go on all the models and not just the high-end cars. Thats neat too.

Wow, I'm just happy with the one-touch windows and roof.

I envy you the cooled compartment. My car came with the vent and blower for the rear seat passengers. So far, we have had only 1 this year and I'd rather keep my waterbottle cold.

Mine has the rear passenger control as well...I had to shut that off to get all the air focused on the box.

Even saw 94 this evening. But wow, the car's AC really does a job. Almost enough reason to _not_ get an underdrive pulley.

Sure but the blower takes up all the space in the compartment!

I am not sure how much space is available in the one without it, i can fit plenty of stuff in mine...actually more then should be in there. As long as I can fit a sandwich and a soda, I am happy.

Yeah the '03 C320s have a blower that takes all the space up in the armrest compartment. But at least it cools down the rear passengers very well.

So far, I've only had a rear passenger once in the year I've had the car. Figuring on that as an average, I'd rather have the compartment and let the occasional passenger suffer.

It's my car!

You think its possible to take it out and still have the rear vents working?

Those that are complaining about the size, what would you put in it that you can't now? I can fit quite a lot of stuff, more then I would use in it.

Same here. I've found that if I just press down a bit, I can fit lots of things in there.

Wife and I had to rearrange our wallet / purse / cell phones / sunglasses / car charger, etc, due to the limited space down there.
