New Memeber - Accident Damage Advice
I'm a new member this is my first post. I've had my 2005 C230 Sport Kompressor for 2 days and I think it's totaled. By looking at the pics, what do you guys estimate damages to be (cost, frame damage possibly, etc)? I was rear ended while doing about 20mph and pushed into the car in front of me.
Thanks,
-Bob D.
Since you've only had it two days, the insurance value should be very close to what you paid for it, so at least you've got that.
Look on the bright side - you get to go shopping again!
Buy another one. But research on the forum first.

And LILBENZ I think you are dead on. After my accident, costs were about 75% of the value of the car with only a portion of the rear end damage were seeing here.....no front end at all. Could be wrong, but to get that done right, I would suspect easily $30K when you factor in labor

I only went with the burgundy color cause it was such a great deal. Next time around it will be grey, black or white

That thing is definitely totalled. My daughter was rear ended (pics in the Official Picture Thread) last week and the damage to the rear bumper seems quite small. Yet the estimate was over $2000.
If I was in OP's position, I would actually hope for totalling. Time for another one.
Any Benz manual is not going to be as good as practically anyone else's. They're clunky and not much fun.
Since you're in the W203 forum, of course most people here are going to not like the W204s. I'm not a huge fan myself. I don't like the interiors, and the Bangle-ness of the exterior leave me cold. But if you like them, don't let that stop you.
But as LIL said, getting the first couple of years of any Benz model is russian roulette.
its a total. Im an adjuster and just by looking at the car its done. And if its almost near a total they can just do a contructive total loss

Most insurance companies with 6 months of purchasing issues you a check based on what you paid
