To the drivers with lowered cars: Does your car shake, shimmy or ride really rough?
I'm running H&R street performance coilovers along with 19" Mandrus wheels which are hub-centric. Today I decided to lower the car since spring is on the way and I couldn't stand my winter-mode look anymore. I lowered the fronts all the way and the back almost all the way. I also stuck on 5mm H&R Spacers on the front so I could clear the coilover. The moment I took the car for a drive I could feel a little bit of shimmying in the steering wheel and seat. I took it back to the shop and they said it was probably because the car is lowered and rides rougher. Later I drove it on the highway at 50-70 miles per hour the car was shaking a lot.. I didn't get an alignment today because they say it wasn't needed. (I not sure if this is true but they said that the car would pull if i needed one and the car doesn't pull.)
I personally don't think the shaking is normal even for a lowered car on 19" wheels. I had a lot of suspension issues but I've tackled each ones of the problems head on by replacing most of the suspension components. Everything to do with my suspension is basically brand new because I've replaced them all during the months of November/December last year.
Just a quick note: My winter mode was basically, 19" wheels with a one finger-gap all around with no spacers. The wheels were balanced, the alignment was done, and thus, the car ran perfectly smooth. This shimmying/shaking started after I lowered the car. Would it really make that big of a difference?
So my question is, for the people that are REALLY lowered out there. Does your car/steering wheel shake? Do you feel your body shaking(a little bit)? I hate driving my car because of the shaking/shimmying.
I'm having a problem with photobucket right now so none of my pictures are working, but I'll try to upload some pics as soon as I can...

5mm H&R spacers are NOT hubcentric. steering wheel shakes left/right is caused by the front wheels balance being off.
Its also depends on the road. In my town i sometimes feel that same shaking you are but its because the roads just suck. What size is your sidewall? The smaller your sidewall the harsher the ride.
