What's the differen between the 03-04 and the 2005 C230?
Im planning on purchasing a c230 Sedan 2003-2005. I found on google that the 2005 has less problems than the 2003-2004. Why is that? Am I missing anything else? Thanks!

I don't know much about the electrical issues, but the 2005 is definitely worth it for the facelift:

just because its face lifted (05-07) doesn't mean it has a DVD command. My car is an 05 and it didn't have a command stock. Most don't. But just search the form a bit, there is a lot of differences between the pre facelift and face lift. In my opinion go facelift, its a lot nicer looking. All preference though.

2005 is definitely the way to go in terms of the facelift (interior and exterior) but reliability (electrical/mechanical components) is an entirely separate issue.
Just search the forum, there are more problems with 2003-2005 M271 W203's than the 2004 M112 model by a longshot (I'm not being biased here, even though I own a M112). Advanced Search is your best friend here, see for yourself.
2004 C240 M112 > 2003-2005 C230 M271, in terms of reliability is documented and proven. That's based on documentation and personal experience. Get the V6.

It's a personal thing. Many prefer the classic looks of the pre-facelift cabin versus that of the Pontiac-inspired facelifted interior.

I'm not sure how you call the facelift interior "Pontiac" inspired. Everything from the gauges to the ambient lighting in the pre-facelift is more like Pontiac. The facelift interior is decidedly more upscale and Benz-like. "Classic looks" is just another way of saying "seriously out-dated". Sat next to each other you'd think the 2004 was from a different era than the 2005.

Easy:
Pre-facelift = Brie
Post-facelift = Velveeta
It's pretty simple.
In all honesty, I don't like the MFD in the revision; it looks cheesier (to keep the bad pun going) to me, though the gauges themselves are a definte upgrade (though who at MB thought a two-decimal tach made any sense at all?). The center stack, cupholder, etc. - I'll give to the pre-facelift editions. As I said initially, it's personal taste, I'm sure mixed in with a healthy dose of rationalization too.
