So I took my car to a local performance shop that deals with high end & exotic cars. They had really good reviews and I've had work done there before and was quite pleased.
Well last visit the tech working on the car clipped my mirror on the side of the garage door. The cover was all scrapped and the lense in the mirror broken. The shop agreed to fix it and I went to have it repaired yesterday.
From the client waiting room I could see the tech and my car. I knew how the mirror cover is replaced, which doesn't require the removal of interior panels. When I noticed the tech open my door and pop off the tweeter then looked somewhat confused I got concerned. He saw me watching him and then proceeded to move my car to a part of the garage I could not see from the window. I went into the garage at this point and directed him as to how to remove the mirror cover. I could of done it myself.
Fast forward to today during lunch. I notice my tweeter cover isn't installed correctly. Upon properly installing the tweeter cover a nice size hole in my door at the corner of the tweeter housing is exposed. Obviously the tech was trying to hide this.
I am upset because the tweeter did not need to be removed and even if it did need to be removed there is a plastic clip fully exposed to remove it. There was no need for any tools as the force to remove this cover is minimal and I pulled it right off. I emailed the shop manager about this and provided pictures.
Any ideas on how I could fix this or what to expect from the shop?! I'm very displeased at this point due to the circumstances but like the shop and the owner.

I highly doubt they will replace the entire cover. The part retails for over $600 at the dealership. I found one on ebay for $300.00 brand new and my color.

I'm going to wait to hear back from the shop, if I do hear back from someone at all. I plan on trying to repair this myself, however I am not happy about it at all. Looks like some glue, pressure and heat could do the trick but it is still an eye sore that should never have occurred.

if the shop doesn't want to fix it, i would just patch it up the best you can and leave them a nasty review on every reputable review source (yelp, yahoo, google etc.) with pictures of the damage and the story that you told us.

So I received a call from the shop on Friday after spending about an hour trying to repair this hole myself. The shop has agreed to have the car brought to his interior guy. I told him that I would call him back this week. I am going to take him up on his offer and email him today.

If you really want a fast response and the damage to be fixed, there are MUCH better communication methods than email. Seriously...
You know... Pick up the phone and call them. Or, better yet, drive there and talk to the owner of the place to figure out next steps.
