Looking for MSR Style 043 all black 16" wheels for my C240
Hello,
I spent a couple hours scouring the forums for a similar question, but had no luck finding a thread. I am looking for MSR Style 043 rims in 16" for my 2003 C240. Here is webpage with the wheels I want on it
http://www.msrwheels.com/auto_car_wheels.cfm?id=1996
I found these wheels using Tire Factory's wheel finder web app. The problem is that the manufacturer (American Eagle) is not scheduled to produce them and the multiple tire places I have contacted don't have a way to get the wheels. When I stopped in Discount Tire today to look at another set similar to those, he called American Eagle and they do have 2 in a warehouse in Canada, so even if I can only find 2 of them, that would allow me to get the other 2 i believe. I have the stock wheels and the powder coating is coming off so they leak and I would like to get these black wheels to replace them. Any help is appreciated.

hmmm. Now that i look at the specifications on that sight, I see the offset of 35 might be an issue. The person I spoke with at Discount Tire said that a 20-25 offset is what I need with my model of car.

My tires are fine. I just either need to get the stock rims powder coated again or get new wheels. If I can't find something I like in 16's, I will consider going larger.

get it powder coat again and drive until the tire wears out then go BIG!
save the money and i can gurantee you you will hate how it looks if you go 16inch aftermarket rims...

I did find this on Ebay, but i'm concerned about the offset being 35. I am going to call them tomorrow and discuss it with them.

MSR offers the 5x112 bolt pattern. I'll find out about the offset and update the post. Also, i'm considering what you said about waiting until these tires wear and getting 18s. Going to research that further.

MBWorld Fanatic!
16s are too small, 17s alright if your going for stocks (facelifted sport moddles), 18s are perfect for aftermarket, 19s look dope depending on the kind of wheel but my cause rubbing but if it does you just need to grind the inner fender or roll it and you'll be good

Thank you for your opinions that 17s or 18s will look better. I'm still considering that, but in the mean time I am still looking for those 16" MSR Style 043 all black wheels. I found out today talking to Discount Tire again that the offset range for my C240 is from 30mm to 51mm so the 35mm offset that these wheels list will work and the snap in caps are the only question mark. They may require removing the dust cover from the hubs in order to fit them.
