Brake Grinding Noise...Need Help!

My 06 c230 has brake grinding noise from the front. I replaced the rotors and the pads recently and it's still there. I did research on this forum and I still can't find any answer.

I'm new to the Benz world going from a e46 m3 to a Benz.

If anyone might know what I should do, please help me out.

Oh by the way, my brake bearings are fine.

Thank you in advance.

Please provide additional information such as:
--What brand rotors did you install.
--What brand pads did you install.
If you did not install MB oem parts, it could be either one or a combination of the above. If you did use oem parts, I do not know why you are getting the grinding noise.
Good luck,
Mike T.

Rotors are OEM but pads arent. I did my homework before purchasing the pads here on the forum and got great reviews about it

Have you use a small packet of paste for the pad and shims which they call it brake pad silencer. I believe this stuff help holds the pad in place when its not squeezed for braking. When not braking sometimes the pad is loose and scrapes the rotors which makes the noise you hear.

Now, if only the noise you hear is a metalic scraping noise. Of course if its something else, it could be the boot it something more serious.

i had the same prob as u when i swtiched out the rotor (balo) and pads (ones from autozone) but still a low grinding noise on turns.that entire time my bearing was out

u can have a bad wheel bearing...this is what im experiencing now...still havent got it fixed

take off the wheel at least and try yanking on it

but if u have exp take off the wheel, caliper, rotor, and hub cover and look at the grease and grab the wheel hub and yank it everywhich way

I just don't know what to do to fix the noise. I hate driving the car this way. Everyone stops and looks like what is this train doing here. It's embarrassing
