Squeak on drivers side rear on bumps. Replaced spring/shock, still there, what now?
All,
I had quite a bit of squeaking going on in my car a while when I found I had a broken spring back there on the drivers side rear. I replaced the spring and the shock. Squeak went away for a day or two but is now back full in effect. Very embarrassing.
What else would I need to do? The car squeaks when I hit bumps, make turns and even when I get in and out of the car.
Could this be the lower control arm (I assume that's the name of the part having the cup where the bottom of the spring sits in)? Any other ideas?

It sounds to me like your lower spindle bushing needs to be replaced. Its the bushing were the lower control arm meets the spindle. They have to be pressed in and out

it could be that or you didnt set the spring in properly in the notch on the bottom. It could be that you didnt tighten the control arm bolts all the way. You can get some spray lubricant and spray down the spring and suspension area.

I have the same issue, i changed bushings at my stealership, 400+bucks! but it was still there so i researched about and and was reminded of the stupid mix up of lug nuts i had done while putting on my spare and how right after i did that and drove a lound CLANK!!!, and from then on the squeakiness began. after reading some threads people say it may be the E Brake!? so i am having my local mechanic take a look at my e brake. Do you know if that something you've done???

Is there anything to pulling out that spindle? Can I just unbolt it and put a new one back in?
shaystudies - not really, there was a time when I didn't tighten my lugs all the way and was getting a bit of a wobble for a trip, but no major clank.
