M271 engine - how much new?
#2
Although unfamiliar with US pricing, i'd say a new M271 engine is a very bad deal for your 2005. Guessing $6000 or more. Not including supercharger which alone is $1500 or more.

Usually available complete, sub assembly or sub assembly & head without blower.
A new engine is not a proposition at US used car prices. It will cost you more than the car is worth.

Something screwy there. One of those pics has a dual gang timing chain, the other is single. Also dismantled, and "NO BOLT ON Accessories included".
I would steer clear of this engine.... Especially at that price.

Find someone parting out and buy their engine. As said above a new one just isn't practical. Also don't forget you will have to pay a shop to take out the old one and put the new one in.

I was in your other thread and followed you into this.
You could buy an engine for less. Check out CoPart.com. Look up your model year and insure you have your region identified. If someone cracked up a car with a rear end hit, you may be able to buy a car for less than the whole engine.
I don't come here often, but if you want advice pm me, and I'll get more specific.
