Radio faceplate melted

Radio faceplate melted
Its summer in South Texas. Put the car, a 2006 c230, in my garage to wait three weeks while I recovered from surgery. Doc cleared me to drive so I drove it last night and noticed that the radio faceplate is de-laminating. It's very obvious. Big huge air bubbles under the top layer of plastic. I have no idea what to do except to replace the radio. Any ideas how this might happen or how to cure it? Thanks.

If you have the stock AM/FM/CD head unit, I have one that I can sell you, if interested at a reasonable price. PM me if interested.

No clear plastic protection, I have had two (2) in my 2007 C230 to do this. Most recent just noticed last week here in FL, garage kept but to much heat in the garage. There is a serios flaw in the material used in the plastics.
Seems to me that ther is just as much heat sitting in direct sunlight during the day, I do not understand?
