03 C230 K Cigarette lighter Light ring
I have a 03 Merc C230 K and the light ring around my cigarette lighter went out,... is this just a bulb that can be replaced? 
How can I remove it to see? Any help is much appreciated!

Yeah its just a regular bulb that you can get at any auto store. But getting to it to replace is harder than you would think.
You need to remove the ashtray, then remove the lower trim that goes from the ashtray to the arm rest assembly, then pull up the gear shift boot, then, remove the cupholder pop up assembly, and then you can reach the bulb to replace it.
I had the same problem a few years back, but in my case there was a loose connection where the wire meets the bulb holder, so after all that trim removing, a little wire jiggle was all that was needed to fix it.
Search for threads on trim removal for a step-by-step guide on removing the lower trim.

Awesome, so it may just be a loose wire then? also, my cup holder umm fell apart hahaha, so I was debating purchasing a cupholder part and put it in myself, I guess if I am doing this, then might as well do it all at once if you have to take it out to get to the cigarette lighter...

Ok, when you say pull up the gear shift boot, are we disconnecting anything? is this dangerous? are we just pushing it forward? or removing it completely?

Yeah a single fuse controls the power and the light. So if only the light is out, you need a new bulb or to fix the loose connection.
