Went to go change the oil, HOOD won't open!! Help!
I was going to change the oil in my car, I go and pull the red lever to open the hood, and it gets stuck and/or gets pulled all the way and the hood doesn't pop up. The black pull that comes out the grille doesn't come out, and I tried to push the hood down to close it, no luck. Any suggestions?

Assuming your hood popped up, look for the release underneath the hood and once you find it pull the release towards you and the hood up at the same time. Had the same thing happen to me. Make sure you put some force into it.

Try to spray some silicon lubricant onto the latch (try not to use WD-40 since it has cleaning agents that'll destroy the rubber over time),... just use those plastic tubes and aim through the front grille.
Sounds like your cable might have stretched,... adjust the cable,... probably has adjuster under dash.

went you use the lever inside it doesn't pop at all? Bring it to a body shop they could probably get the release latch through the grille..

Get someone to pull the lever while you gently pull the hood up & down. Hopefully the first catch will release.
