Looks like they stopped carrying it.
And I sold my last 10 quarts + filter and gasket.
Crap. Well still have a long way to go before I need it again.

Nope, and I didn't get any before they stopped. Back to the Fuchs at RM European for much more $$$ Originally Posted by C230 Sport Coup

Haven't been around in a while and am needing to do my tranny service soon, but I only bought a case back when they were dirt cheap. Well needless to say, I'm wishing I had 1 to 2 more quarts before going forward to be safe. Except I can't find any! Anyone selling any?

Try this link, only $23.07 a case of 12. You lucky Americans. I ordered 2 cases here in Canada from Bluewave Energy @ $107 a case: Originally Posted by C230 Sport Coup

No can do for me , at least. They gave me the run around. End result being they don't ship to my area. Local distributor in TX. No customer code, etc. Maybe I chatted with the wrong person.

Wow... This is dirty cheap. $23 / 12QT is less than 2 dollars per quart.
I am wandering if this is the right Shell 134 ATF per MB 236.14 specifications. It must be, but it's just hard to believe that we can still buy synthetic oil this cheap when everywhere else an equivalent oil is sold for at least $ 12/ liter - I am not even mention the dealer price.
I am waiting responses from 2 other distributors in Houston area and I will let you know if their prices are comparable with this one.
Ivanrad, I won't need to do another flush for a couple of years if the car doesn't die before that, so not really an issue for me right now.
Just did it at 180K a year ago, now at 191K.
I sold mine because I downsized to a 1 bdrm apt. and every nook and cranny is stuffed.
Those 10 quarts woulda been sitting on a shelf for years.
Not sure what possessed me to check the availability,
but thought I should tell you guys.

I called that place, they said they have it in stock but at $60 a case. Wonder what would happen if you ordered it from the site at 23.07? Anyone care to try?
I tried. Don't have a customer code so I couldn't order.
***UPDATE***
I have been trying far and wide to find some cases for a rainy day. I was wondering why Ryder and others stop carrying it. Here's an email I received from lubricants.com:
We stopped selling the ATF 134 because 80% of the shipments arrived damaged.
Those quarts just don't hold up very well.
I hope you can source it elsewhere.
Kind regards,

I received the same response from Ryder when I called them. What is going on with Shell/Pennzoil anyway? Why is this company holding back a product that obviously will sell in the marketplace?

Well at my current rate of mileage it'll take a few years before it matters.
No where to work on it anyway.

I ordered several cases from Ryder Fleet not long ago and they arrived in one big leaky mess of a box. When I opened the cases, I found every bottle taped up with gray duct tape and it was a total gooey mess to remove it all to open the bottles because almost every quart leaked - some just a little, others up to a 1/4 of their contents. When I called Ryder about it and asked what was up, they made it seem like I was some kind of a moron and they said they have never had a problem with shipping oil and have never taped up any bottles. I e-mailed pics and they still didn't believe it and were very rude and condescending. I find it funny that they are now publicly saying that 80% of shipments arrived damaged when they gave me the third degree. Originally Posted by kluvsbenz

My guess is that they still sell it, but it is only available to their fleet centers - in other words, they just don't want to ship it via UPS to regular joe's.
Golden West is saying that their price is $60/case of 12 quarts, which isn't bad, but shipping can get a bit costly the further you are from Texas. They wouldn't sell it at $23.07/case and I wasn't able to set up an account either.

What is the cheapest price so far? Luckily I'm in Texas but the cheaper the better

Over the weekend, I looked at the remaining 6 quarts I had of this stuff. The bottles seem to be fragile, i.e.- easily could be damaged during transit. The plastic seems flimsy.Originally Posted by kevins_garage

Surprising for such a large oil company. A drop in the bucket in terms of their bottom line. Again, another example of a big company cutting corners. Very unnecessary!!MBWorld Fanatic!
I gave up buying Mobil 1 in the 20 litre containors because the lid leaked.
Imagine arriving at the Mobil depot & having a 20 litre drum placed on the counter with heavy dust residue adhearing to the leaked oil & them expecting you to come up with over $260 for it?.
I now buy Shell engine oil by the 5 litre in cardboard boxes .Cheaper too!

Found a dist. in my part of PA. However, he is telling me Shell is having issues that is affecting it's supply chain. Who knows when I can get my hands on this product

Guys, just picked up a case (12 quarts) of Shell 134 ATF from my local distributor Taylor Enterprises (http://www.teifms.com/) for about $58 total - it was $52.95 which comes out to $4.41/qt + $.24 SC Waste Tax + $4.50 8.5% sales tax.
They happened to have a warehouse here in Charleston, SC which is where I live so I just stopped by and bought a case. They would probably ship it for a fee, or just go on Shell's website and put in your zip code and see if any of your local distributors carry it. I had to call 5 different companies in SC before I found one that had it. Good luck!

We've just had notification on the W209 forum that you should phone your local Shell distributor in the US. Apparently many of them have it at $60 a case.
