I just put in the H&R coilover suspension. Like an idiot my friend set it didnt fit since the twisty thing of the coilover is on the top, so he just left it out. Any problems with that?!?!?! HELP

so he didn't install the adjustable rear spring perch? or he did install the adjustable perch, but with no rubber spring pad?

could you be a little more clear on the problem?

sorry bout that...but what is the rear spring perch? What i was talking about was, the rubber pad that goes on top of the stock spring(that was eliminated).

By adding Coil Overs, there are two upper spring pads in this equation, the OEM MB pad which should be removed, and the very thin new pad which comes with the new CO kit.

You must have the new pad in, or you are metal-on-metal and eventually it will squeak. Look in the kit and see if you have a couple of extra 4 inch diameter rubber washers about .1 inch thick. Lucky you, the rears are easy to redo.

Pic of CO pad

Here is a picture of a Coil Over pad. (It is the Black "circle" on the top of the pic with a white line marked on it).

It is only about 0.10 thick.
It is shaped like a simple washer with a lip in the center to mate with the center of the spring.

Sorry for asking this dumb question, Which way (up or down) is the adjustable perch suppose to be installed relative to the spring?? I have a Carlsson CO (non damper adjustable) and I can't seem to lower the rear one that much, i can still stuck my little finger between the tyre and the fender in the lowest position.

The pic is correct top to bottom.
The adjuster is on the bottom.

you might want to check with the manufacturer... because for H&R... the adjuster should be on the top...
