2005 C230 Kompressor SS
New W203 Owner
Hello everyone! Just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Josh and I purchased a 2005 C230 Kompressor last weekend. I traded my 2005 Evo VIII for it. Here's a couple pics of the old ride and my new one.
The Evo:
The Merc:
I've got some plans for it mod wise, but nothing to the extent of what I did to the Evo. So Far I've changed out the grille, put on a flat front badge, and smoked side markers.
Up next are Depo black housing projector headlights, tail light tint, and a few other odds and ends.

Welcome to the forum and I'm sure you'll enjoy your W203. How many miles does it have? It looks really clean (including the pinstripe! ).
Keep us up to date on your plans!

Thanks everyone for welcoming me to the forums. I got the car with 75k on the clock, but it was really well taken care of. The fog light is kinda loose and the mesh is a bit bent on the passenger side. Carfax came back as being a two owner with most of its time being spent in Florida. No reported accidents though. I'm guessing the fog light might have gotten messed up from hitting a rock or something in the road. Overall though it's in great shape. The fog light and the window shade (it doesn't like to go up without a little help) are the only things I've found wrong with it.

Nice car bro! It's amazing how much better the car looks with the smoked sidemarkers. I just changed out mine for some smoked ones and threw in some amber led bulbs and it blends in so well during the day and looks sick at night.

I'll grab some fuel system cleaner when I go to do the next service, got 2600 miles before that yet. I'm not entirely sure it needs it though, I consistantly get between 32 and 36 mpg going to and from work.

Just ordered my headlights, tail light tint, and led interior lights. Will post pics when I get everything in!
Also, I think I might start working on how I'm going to install my emergency lights. I'm a volunteer Firefighter/EMT and have a nice blue light setup that was in the Evo. I just need to find out how I'm going to set everything up in the Merc.

Thanks on the lights by the way. They were a pain to wire in and tuck everything. I'm not looking forward to doing it all over again lol.

Well... I've received 2 of the 3 items I ordered. Unfortunately I didn't have much luck with either of them.
The tail light tint was an excercise in futility. Never did I think that thin plastic film would hve been such a PITA to deal with. I think I'm going to just spray tint, masking off how I want it to look.
The LEDs were horribly cheap crappy pieces that barely put out half of the light the stock incandescent bulbs did. I ended up soldering up a solution using some of the crap ones with some nice LED panels I had installed previously in the Evo.
All that's left are the headlights, which just shipped today. If those things are crap too I think I'm gonna lose it.

Nice W203 and welcome to the forum.
For some reason, I feel like that grille would look 10x better with just the mesh (no star or chrome line going across) but that's just another opinion to throw in your bag. Also noticed you're having some issues with LED's. Why not just order from AZN Optics who is a sponsor of the forum? I've ordered probably a dozen or more LED's from him and have nothing but good feedback on em. Just a thought.
Good luck w/ everything.
