With OEM ball seat against the tapered/acorn style you have less contact holding the wheels on which then leads to stress load on the studs which will eventually cause them to break. But if you comfortable driving like that that's your call. One aggressive turn or sudden stop and you might be rolling on rotors and frame. I wouldn't want to be the cause for the safety of fellow drivers.
They seem to seat rather well when mounted and ive been driving on them for years without any problems.

Yea, I looked into but I kinda want to stray away from the stocks. I really like the xxr 527 design, and nice concave it has going.
They're are reasonably very cheap at $130-$150 per wheel 18x8.75 front, 18x9.75 rear at 20 offset.
Only problem is they're 5x114.3 but I could always get adapters for it but I don't know how it would work with the wheel stud conversion I'm getting.
Input guys?

long as they clear your calipers and such of course. Im unsure about the adapter though because wouldn't that just decrease the offset considerably? 20et already is getting to the flush point and thick adapters would be pushing it a bit.

Arent those known to be super knock off wheels? Offset sounds perfect long as they clear your calipers and such of course. Still trying to get good input on this.

So the other day after coming back from cars and coffee up in cary, nc. Check engine light comes on midway going back to fayetteville. I have a buddy who ran the scanner and the code came up;
"
p2767 Input/turbine
speed sensor B
circuit no signal"
An hour later i was skeptical about the engine light since I hear people talk about the check light coming on and off randomly. It went away when I got back in the car but it was running sluggish. Accelerated slowly while rpms were way up there, I don't think it would be in limp mode.
Next thing I did was do a throttle reset which fixed it but every time I get in, it resets and accelerates slowly again.
I looked up the code and found out it had something to do with the tranny?
I'm taking it into a local euro shop today to find out, hope it wont cost me a leg and arm

People in the Honda forums have had mostly good things to say about the XXRs, but there have been a few issues, just like Rotas. Assuming you can get past the knock-off claims, of course.
If you do go with these, I could try to get a refund on the studs that you bought, or even buy them off you, since I'll probably need to replace mine eventually. Let me know if that makes your decision easier, but if it were me, I'd still try to get rims originally sized for my car, instead of trying to fit a square peg in a round hole, but that's me. Good luck with everything.

Yea I'm tempted to get adapters for it and since I was planning on getting spacers eventually too so I could do that but I really like have the studs! lol

The check engine light, p2767 code which was a bad input sensor and had to get Mercedes to change out the conductor plate. Under easy care warranty all I had to pay was a $500 deductible.... right before I went back to California for leave too haha.
Came back from leave and my last recent post I've been talking about getting WedsSport TC 105n replicas. They have such a nice concave look to them but at $400 per wheel Ive settled with a more affordable alternative, the XXR 527.
I got them in 18x8.75 et 30 all around, I wanted a staggered rear but no way was I going to fit a 18x9.75 with adapters in the rear. Tires are Falkenz ZE912 215/35 front, 215/40 rear.
Adapters are from Adaptec over at http://www.motorsport-tech.com
Called them over the phone, got a great deal. $300 shipped design 4. 15mm front, 20mm rear.
Results = Winning!

The rear does look too low. You're not rubbing or bouncing off speed bumps? I'd be afraid to drive a car that low, but if you enjoy it, that's what's important.

Surprisingly the rears do not rub at all! I take speed bumps at a moderately slow pace so there's no bouncing going on at all. I don't scrap on drive ways at all either, it's almost like the lowness of my car is an illusion ahah. Handles really good as a daily!
