2001 c320 mercedes side speaker replacement
i just got brand new kicker side speakers and i need " step by step " instructions on what to do in order to replace my old bose speakers. im refering to the speakers near your feet. Im guessing the wire looking plastic cover will be removed since my kicker has a cover for my replacement speaker.

A few pointers for you
The door panel comes off then you get to the speaker the grill does not come off.
Second when replacing speakers on a Bose car you really should take out all old Bose speakers/amp and put in new speakers and run all new wires/wires from radio to back of car where speaker wires are currently located.

In the wiki link at the top should have one or the diy thread sticky that's one of the first threads. Held in by 4 torx screws. You need a flat head and remove the pull handle on the door there's two there and another behind the srs tab by the door lock tab. Last one is the plastic piece around the door lock mechanism. Then just give a good pull because its held in by tabs.
Oh remove the tweeter cover first before pulling the panel off

Just looked for that in the Wiki myself and could not find it. The door panel is a pok just follow phister's instructions...take the tweeter off and unscrew the four torx bolts incl. the one under the SRS tag. At this point you should be able to lightly nudge the panel off. Or search 'door panel removal' - a few helpful threads should pop up.
Oh yeah. That stock grille cover doesnt just come off...you'll have to use a heat gun to melt the plastic tabs that hold it to the door panel then melt and bond the tabs of the new grille on to the panel. Thats far as I remember when I replaced my broken grille.
