Dipstick question
i bought the one from ebay with the water and red markings from that guy in poland.
drove the car 10 miles. parked in a gas station on a level surface. left the car running.
whats the proper way to measure with the stick?
Shove the dipstick until u cant go down anymore? fluid is correct for me
Or
shove the dipstick until u feel it just hit something? fluid is between the blue and red.

Sammy, are you talking about the auto transmission fluid dipstick? If so, push it in until the tip hits something (the bottom of the pan). There will still be about a foot of dipstick sticking out of the top of the tube. The stick is extra long on purpose so you will not be tempted to leave it in the car as you do with conventional car dipsticks.
Sounds like you measured correctly if we are indeed talking about the transmission dipstick. Although the markings on the one I had indicated whether it was cold or hot while reading it.

Interesting looking dipstick. I have the regular one on the bottom of the photo. I didn't know there were two positions you could push the stick down to ... once I hit the bottom of the pan I think I would have had to buckle the snake to go any further.
The blue/red dipstick has a longer head on the shaft -- is it possible it's catching on something whereas the regular dipstick doesn't?
If the first measurement of between blue and red bands is correct, would you notice the transission slipping with that little fluid?
