Help! M271 Cylinder Misfire 1,2,3,4
So over the past few weeks my 2005 c230k m271 has be idling rough on cold stard but is fine once you start driving. I was just going to do plugs on the next service. Today I put in a can of techron and ran it hard for a few miles then went and filled up the tank. Drove for a few more miles then I have no power, the engine is missing bit time with a bad shudder. I ran the codes and got 12, cylinder 1,2,3,4 misfire, too lean, evap leak, and bank something or another. I'm guessing the usual suspects of plugs, coil packs, O2 sensor, MAF, anything else i should be looking for? I hope i can drive it to the shop tomorrow.

195,100 mi. What about the $12hose?, I hear a hissing coming from that area. No way all the coils go bad at once right?

If that hose recall has never been done that's a prime suspect for sure. Have you installed the cam isolation wires? I ask to rule out oil contamination in the wiring.

The hose is the most likely.
Please note that Techron does not work instantaneously. It requires as much stop start heat soak type of mileage as possible to work best/most quickly. It will still clean up in open road mileage but takes longer.

That figures. Any air leak will cause the symptoms you describe. The "Hose" is actually a vacuum line.
