Interesting

So does that mean that evosport is now out of the picture with Carlsson? Or is evosport the official importer and they are a dealer?

It would appear that Carlsson approved the Carlsson North America Limited Liability Corporation and they would be the importer /wholesaler to the distrobution channels they select unless they choose to be the sole retailer in NA with authorized installers.

Just like Brabus, Carlsson will setup their corporate-owned US import and distribution center in Florida.

ones too fast according to CHP!
Yep, that is Carlsson's new US distribution. We are not sure if we will chose to be a dealer or not. We were a finalist (down to 3 companies) but Carlsson chose to go another direction. While disappointed by the news, we wish the best for Andreas and his fine company. Hopefully this will at least mean stable pricing and reliable product distribution, as opposed to the flood of overly discounted and hard to get items up to this point.

Thanks

Brad

Hey Brad... did you also get a letter from Andreas? Just curious.

The others I know had a different letter than mine - just a complete rejection. I am just curious.

As you can read from my last post, we were obviously not flatly rejected as we were a finalist.

This correspondence was the same as the one you posted. As a policy we will never post private correspondence without the EXPRESS permission of all parties involved.

Thanks

Brad

We are now taking preorders for the first Carlsson shipment to the US. Pricing will be on our website shortly. Please call or email with any inquiries.

Ben: Brad said a few hours ago that "....We are not sure if we will chose to be a dealer or not......" and now you guys are talking pre-orders? What can be ordered if you have yet chosen to become a dealer?

I think it will take a while (months?) before the products are ready for the public. Just my opinion.

Come on Harris, if Brad said we weren't sure whether we would be a dealer, and later I said we are taking preorders, what do you think happened in between posts?

Randall, many of the parts have been available for several months, and were awaiting a US presence to be established prior to being imported. We will be working very closely with Carlsson NA in both the exterior (wheels, body kits and interior styling), as well as helping to bring forth their performance parts to the US market.

Thanks,

Ben

Well, personally, I have been looking forward to a Carlsson NA setup for years. Now it finally happened, I am extremely excited. But seems like you guys can get Carlsson stuff sooner than Carlsson NA does. Thats why I am just being curious. I need a set of Carlsson 1/16 19" Brilliant Edition desparately, any idea when can you have it?

Ben:

I actually have been following up with Carlsson.

As a matter of fact, I have placed an order for 1 each of W203, W210 bumper kits, 19 and 20" UL and BE wheels (1 set each in each size in various select designs, inlcuding the 1/16 - totalling just 5 sets) and other small accessories which I simply wanted to keep in stock, and fulfill a few orders for customers.

It was ordered since late April and still to no avail.

If you can get the products, I am more than happy to perhaps refer our "order-confirmed" customers to you.

Let me know.

Get the UL version of the 1/16 (not the BE)... it's well worth it.

A 19x8.5 wheel is about 22lbs. The price is about the same as a HRE wheel.

Renntech Monolites are 18lbs, but they are 18". The lightest 19" wheels in the market should be the new Kleemann TS-6. They are 18lbs each. And they are VERY expensive.
