I know that the Cs use 12 mm. Don't some other MBs use 14 mm?

12mm or 14mm is the radius of the hemispherical ball seats of the wheel bolt holes and the ***** on the lug bolts. You can't use a 12mm bolt (C class) with the 14mm bolt holes in the S class wheels. They will not have enough clamping force and the bolts will loosen and the wheels may fall off. You should be able to buy proper bolts at the dealer or most tire shops. You might have to have the bolt holes in the hubs re-tapped. I'm not sure about that.

It is not $400 dollars for lugs, all Lorinser wheels are made at a certain offset and use adapters and lugs to work on a certain chassis. That is why you are able to purchase LM5's off a S-Class and use them on your c230 (assuming you have the right hardware). When somebody buys the wheels they come with all the hardware. You need to purchase new hardware if you are using the wheels for a different application than they were purchased for. SO it is not $400 for lugs it is for all the lugs and adapters.

The reason that Lorinser does this is so you can use the same wheels on different chassis unlike AMG or factory wheels. YOu could not take AMG's off the S and run them on the C.

Hope this clears it up some.

kman: dude do you know what youre talking about? the rims have nothing to do with the chassis. obviously s-class rims wont fit on a c-class cuz its a different offset. you can buy a spacer which enables you to use different offset rims on your car. this is probably what lorinser was trying to sell you for 400.

carlssoncrs,
since I work for Lorinser I think that it is safe to say that I know what I am talking about. You contradict yourself saying the wheels having nothing with the chassis but they have different offsets. The wheels and there offset determine which chassis they will work on. So how can you say the wheels(rims) have nothing to do with the chassis. Each factory/amg are made to a certain offset to work on a certain chassis and require no additional hardware. If you read my reply I am telling this member that Lorinser does not make there wheels that way. They make it so that with the proper hardware you can take any Lorinser wheel and use it on any chassis.

maybe you did not read careful enough, next time read better then challenge people on their knowledge.
