W203 C220 CDI OM646 POWER!
HELP!!!!
I have a 2003 C220 CDI, with the OM646.963 from day one I was never happy with the power, and from my research it seemed the easiest way to make power would have been to sell it and buy something faster, but I didn't have to heart to do that, this was my first car, given to me at the tender age of 16, so now at this point, myself and the car share a rather significant bond.
I live in South Africa, so most specialized performance parts will have to be imported. The simplest solution to make a good power gain on this car of mine would have been to get the C320 CDI's engine and do a swap, but due to the unique way our services are rendered, I could not find anyone qualified to get it done. Doing it my self was a task I was not equipped for.
So I did the next best thing, I headed to Google, and found myself a Common Rail Chip (Race Chip Pro), plug and play. Had a local company(Xcede Performance) remap my ECU, stripped out the stock turbo and manifold and replaced it with the Turbo out the C320 CDI which proved to be a very large task, changed the Intercooler to a much larger one, and upgraded all the plumbing, from intake to exhaust.
I also fitted a 180HP Wet-Shot of Nos, but that’s only for when the need for extreme acceleration is needed.
My concerns are, I have fitted the bigger turbo, so I am making more boost, I would like to upgrade the injectors and camshafts to harness the boost properly, and maybe even the fuel pump to put more pressure on the line. But parts like these cannot be found here in South Africa, and tuning of Mercedes-Benz’s is very rare, so I have no idea what will be compatible.
I am also not happy with the performance of the OME Mercedes-Benz 320CDI Turbo I am using, but I know my ECU will not run without an Electrically controlled VNT Turbo, is there a way around this? Is there a standalone ECU I can use that will integrate with all the CAN systems in my car? Or simply default them?
I do apologize for my lack of technical knowledge, but I will sincerely appreciate any help, or knowledge shared. I want to get as much power out this little Diesel as possible.
Note* I have been running the car at 2Bar+ (My boost gauge stops there) under acceleration, and it stabilizes at 1.8Bar for the last 10 000KM’s and the engine has not skipped a beat…

220CDI and power aren't 2 terms I generally associate with each other.
I'd love to have the gas mileage though.
Have you gotten a dyno?
That would be interesting.

I do have the dyno sheets from before the turbo and cooler upgrade, where I only did the Common Rail Chip, and the car made 147kW & 450+Nm on the Wheels, I will try and dig it up, but as for the new set up, I haven't taken it to the Dyno yet. I'm planing on changing the ECU so I can have more parameters to play with first, so when I do take it to the Dyno I can get it set up correctly aswell... Any management systems you would recommend that will integrate with out any above average modification needed to get it installed and working properly?

Is it hard to fit om648 turbo? what are the exact mods to do this? will I need to swap electronics from stock turbo on om648 turbo? or everything will fit bolt on ? will the car drive normally with om648 turbo or adjustiments with Star diagnostic needed ?
