Awful noise coming from engine bay???? HELP

Well I started up my car this morning to this awful noise. Opened my hood after and didn't see anything. Smells like somethings burning.... Any ideas? I didn't drive it after.

You should've filmed with the hood open though
Was your AC on? Burning smell could be the serpentine belt slipping...

But you also might need to find the reason you blew your belts...

The belts were old as hell. I guess Benz doesn't make replacement belts so I had to buy a whole AC Compressor unit..... $1000+ later.......

My C240 has only one belt. The tension is maintained by a spring loaded pulley. There is also an idler pulley to route the belt. Both of these need to be inspected to assure proper tension on the belt. Damage to other devices like the water pump, alternator, and AC compressor bearings can occur if the proper tension is not maintained.

Yup, my real good buddy is a Mercedes Master Tech and he inspected it all. Pulley went along with main belt. Can't just replace pulley, you need the whole AC compressor. Around $1000 total.
