I've always wondered since I saw those spinners for the first time
I am not sure how the spinners are mounted, but I wonder how long they last. After all, it's spinning while moving and spinning while stationary. Since most of them are blades so it can be deadly if it ever flew off....
BTW, I even saw a spinning hub cap today. The spinners might be reaching the end of their fashion cycle?

A bucket on wheels
they are nasty, saw a set of white spinners to go along with a white c240 today in beverly hills. some persian fob highschool kid was driving. what an embarassement. do people not realise its a mercedes? heres a pic of shaq's spinners. i think hes the only one who can pull it off.

Yeah I saw some spinners on a C-class (probably C24/320) in San Diego. He stopped on the other side of the street and he looked at me like he was the man. All I could do was laugh out loud. I also saw a Jaguar convertable with 18/19 inch spinners. Both cars are very stylish but with the rims on them it looks so tacky and loses any style points and tarnishes the cars' reps.

It is not really the wheels anymore that are expensive, it is the tires. I was at a car show and so a 2003 Lincoln Navigator on 24" spinning rims. He said he payed $6000 just for tires. The navigator did look mean though.

i think i saw the same car you guys are talking about over in Pasadena Old Town.... i wanted to take pictures of it and post it here and flame him... but then i was with my gf and was just tooo lazy to get my camera 
if one of those guys were to pull up next to me and tell me their car is better then mines... i would smile at them and just ask them for their autograph

Inside joke, but today I drove (with Tommy) my friends GS400 with 20 or 22" Spinners...MSRP of $8,000 without tires. It was fun because everyone looked at the car while I was driving it...but I would never put them on my car. What a day.
Although, the look on Tommy's face was priceless...he was like...this is your car? You hate chrome.
