what i love about my car-- i can hear better

ok, there are a billion things. but i just want to mention one of them since i drove a bimmer today. i do not want this to turn into a debate about bimmers or anything. i love both cars, but could only afford a benz (i got a good rate better than bimmer dealer offered).

the ride was great. i'm sure most of you already know that. but the wind resistance was unbelievably louder than in my c at 70mph. i assume it has to do with coefficent drag. but wow i never noticed it before during my test drive a year ago. this bimmer was all stock btw (330i). also, engine is little louder. but, i guess that is because its a bigger engine and i'm use to my c240 engine.

just my 0.02

2003 C240 4matic
I agree it is unbelievable. My C240 4Matic is the least tiring car to drive that I have owned in my 40 plus years of driving. This is due to its superb stable handling, steering and brake feel; wonderful ride and overall quietness.

CD of 0.27 for the sedan

The Sedan has a CD of 0.27. That's low

I wish I could say the same thing about my C320 Wagon...driving over 80mph makes the car vibrate like nothing else (...ongoing saga) and there is a ton of windnoise from the rear doors (...another ongoing saga). I like driving my 2003 VW GTI a lot better right now

my car's not quite at all on the freeway. My bro's 5series does a better job at sound proofing and it's 6 1/2 years old.

Didn't work for me in Germany...I hit a bird at about 210km/h in a 328i...bent the license plate, but no other damage, to the car

but the ride is not as bad going at 70-80mph with the windows either. i did this yesterday night driving on the highway with no cars/trucks in the road. i gotta admit it was nice. they say the new clk convertibles have a CD of 0.30. i think that is really nice. why don't all automoblie manufactures do this? i know in the family suburban, that ride is looooud. it like riding a striaght brick wall on the road. no engineering was in progress at GM.
