Instructions for Parktronic Install with pics
Here are some pics of the install I am still doing for my C320. It's the rear parktronic system. It comes with the module, 4 sensors, 4 rubber rings for the sensors, 4 trim rings, 4 retaining clips front of sensor, and 4 retaining clips rear of sensor, main harness, short piece of wire to display, the main display itself, and another piece of wire for the sensors, and templates for the s203, w203, and cl203. First you have to gut your trunk out. There are some instructions on this in the Nokia install from Gleason. Here is a picture of where i Mounted the module. It's on the rear SAM unit.

this is where I fed the wires through for the sensors to the bumper. There was a rubber plug there originally. I cut a round hole in the rubber plug and fed the wire through. The sensor harness also has a rubber grommet on it so I mounted it snug with hole on the rubber plug. There is another hole on the rear right side of the trunk which seems to be the right size for the rubber grommet the harness but I have the teleaid backup antenna wire going through that hole. Incase you guys didn't know, there is another emergency antenna in the bumper incase the main one is cut off.

this is after I mounted the templates on the bumper. Make sure you measure correctly. Find the center of the bumper, measure 180mm each way from the center and the 560mm each way from the center and these are your drilling points. I got a new Spade bit and drilled the holes slowly. Make sure the drill is straight when you drill. Drill slowly and steady.

I am waiting to get the sensors and the trim rings painted to match the color of the car. yes the sensors do have to be painted. When you plug the harness into the rear of the SAM unit for power, there is only one spot it fits into so plug it in there. Add fuse to 13 also. Get it activated then from the dealer or it won't work. I still have to get it activated.

Hmm, interesting. I'm actually working on the same thing right now and am waiting for the clear coat to dry on the retaining rings. Are you actually using the MB module for the Parktronic, or are you simply going to use the Bosch's unit?
I actually bought the Euro rear impact strip and then drilled the holes out that way (much less daunting than drilling into it when mounted on the car).
You will need to remove the impact strip in order to attach the sensors from behind anyway.
The rear dome lamp + display is certainly nicer. Did you have to run another wire to it in order to feed the Parktronic display? I was just going to stick with the Bosch display unit for simplicity.

I guess it's the bosch unit that I am going to use. That's what came with the kit. Any idea how to remove the impact strips? My wife's hand fits behind the bumper so I may just have her do it. And, yes there is another wire from the control unit to the rear display.

I also forgot to mention that when you plug in the new display with domelight, you have to plug the original connector on it as well as the new data cable for the display. The original cable plugs directly into it. If you plug it in backwards, the reading lamps won't work.

Oh okay, I know why I was initially confused. I was looking at the templates in your pictures, and those are actually for a Bosch reverse warning kit. I didn't realise that you had paid $800 for the kit from SteveNL at first. My Bosch kit was not that expensive; a friend of mine bought it from Germany for me.
What's interesting now is which rings and retainer clips you have with your kit. The European MB rear impact strip that I bought was one with the rear holes drilled out already. There are special clips molded into the plastic which allow the MB sensors simply to snap in. As such, the holes are a bit smaller than those on the template.
Did you already remove the rear bumper to feed the wiring though? I'm curious as to how you managed to do that to get the wires from the interior of the trunk to the holes.
As for the rear impact strip, they are EXTREMELY tightly held on by clips, molded onto the strip on the top and the bottom, which clip into the opening. I'm not even going to bother doing it myself actually, since I know that they are a huge PITA to deal with.
