anyone have any experience with the renntech carbon fiber airbox??.... they claim 5hp and 4 ib torque for 1595 which is rediculous... but if you look outside the hp and torque per dollar and look at the difference that torque is availible at what rpms the difference is...

stock 215hp @5700 229tq @3000-4500

renntech 220hp @5700 233tq @2700-5000

theres a slight difference in numbers but when you look at the rpms thats a lot more consistent pulling power threw every gear...i dont know if its worth it... but anyone think besides the extreme price this would be a major difference in performance??

IN MY OPINION... you should use a more descriptive subject.

Not worth every penny IMHO! But I guess it is great for bragging rights......the price for admission is too high.

~320 Dlls per HP, ridiculous!

Better spend your money on lighter wheels and enjoy more improvement, also drop a K&N or BMC aif filter and you'll see as much improvement.

Get the underdrive pulley set from Evosport. They free up 13hp to the wheels.

Just get your stock box wrapped in c/f and put some k&ns in it. You'll get the same increase in power and it will look nice and you won't waste all that money. For that price, you can get pulleys, software and still have 500 bucks left over. Renntech=

Felt a little extra in the upper RPM but I didn't dyno test - that's just seat of the pants judgement. 5 hp wouldn't really be a very noticeable gain anyway. 20-30 hp (about what you would get from pullies and software) would be very noticeable though.

yeah i guess so i figured since it had a dual ram air with the technology it uses to maximize low and high end rpms we would get more than the usual especially on highway... oh well.. had my power chip pre programmed for high flow air filters for when i add them so hopefully its a little more noticable.. as for the pullies would love to see some actual time differences and not so much dyno... numbers only matter to me where they count.... at the track

The underdrive pulleys are only for the V6 and V8 engines. Since I have an I4, no underdrive pulleys for me.

Anyone got a picture of the carbon fiber air box? I have been thinking about driving to FLA to have RENNtech do the full treatment to my C240 ($4000 +) but their website sucks for photos.
