Affordable code readers

Good day gentlemen/ladies. I am a new owner of a W203 C350 2005 Anantgarde. Other than the infamous fuel pump/fuel gauge issue the car is superb. Can anyone advise me on scan tools/ code readers that can also cancel error codes?
Please take note that I am in South Africa and will have to ship here.
Great forum to be part of!

Check out this one http://www.ultra-gauge.com/ultragauge/
I am using it two years now on a CLK200K W209 and it is fantastic. Very good value for money.

I've got something similar, the scangauge. It's more expensive, but I've got it mounted in my ashtray area (pics in my build thread), so it's a bit more stealthy than the Ultra. Costs a bit more too, but I like its design better.

If you just want a simple hand-held, you can get one for about $100USD from harborfreight http://www.harborfreight.com/catalog...=obdii+scanner or any of the other online car places. They're all about the same.

I use the ELM 327. Read and cleared codes and the program I use (torque pro) has many other cool features .. cost me $20 CAD shipped from amazon . Plus an additional 5$ for the app

Import. You will be ripped off in SA.

These are what most people here use.

Expensive:

Equus Innova 3130 or it's newer replacement

Cheap & cheerful CEN-TECH for the glovebox but it still tells you what the code means.

Both are known to work well with Benz cars.

My friend had a OBD2 reader that was Bluetooth and synced with his Android phone. I think the app was called Torque. It read codes, gave you links for further detail about the codes, can clear codes, and gives you cool read outs that you would usually have to install a bunch of gauges on your A pillar for. Not sure if there's one compatible with iPhone but I would definitely look it if I had an Android.
