#1 Yes, the "generation" is W203; good for all cars listed in the subforum heading

#2 2004.5 Plenty of information here to search and find out the specifics of what was included in the change

#3 I don't recall anyone doing much in that regard, honestly

#4 Use only 91 unless there's no other option

#5 The antenna is in the rear glass. Unless you're going to amplify or replace that antenna somehow, you're stuck with the reception you have

#6 a) Pics of your setup would help people id your system.
b) There might be a marker on a speaker grille, the sub, or amp (I believe it's the crappy stock or the slightly less crappy Harmon Karden you'd have)
c) Take your VIN# to a dealer - they can pull up your car and tell you what you have for free in their parts dept. You should get to know your local parts dept anyway, they can be very helpful, even if you aren't buying anything from them.

Almost all of this stuff has been answered many times over here, but since you asked nicely, I threw up my generalist answers. You should be able to find more detail on everything with a good search, there's plenty of info here. Good luck.

I'll chime in on the aftermarket radio. As long as you're sure to power the antenna when hooking it up to the Pioneer it will boost the radio reception. Or at least it did on my car. I've installed new double dins in several Mercedes now (friends in college want radios ) So if you have any questions just let me know!

Your other questions have been answered, but regarding the double-din: You're going to spend more on the GPS than the actual radio itself? And no, it will NOT increase reception because it doesn't come with the HD Radio. Spend the extra $100 and get the X5600 BHS. Unless you're really sold on a $300 GPS unit for a $250 radio, just use your phone or buy a used Garmin GPS.

It comes with HD Radio among other things... it's what I'm getting installed when the time comes.

I would suggest the AVIC X950BH. I have the X940BT and I like it pretty well.

Yea I order these parts because I wanted to have both the Bluetooth and NAV right on car. I did look at the 5600 but it just brought my cost way above the budget I wanted to stay with in.

Thank you.

$263(the radio you bought)+$300(GPS you bought)= $563. The radio he posted is $596 and is well, well worth the extra $50 and has what you needed... but it's your choice. If you already bought them not much to do.

Sorry am I confused, does this radio have NAV internal? I don't want to have to use my phone and a garmin, I would like to have nav integrated. If the $596 radio does DVD, BLUETOOTH and NAV then I would do that. Let me check the specs again maybe I made a mistake.

Wow was I wrong this looks like a much better

Yes, the AVIC-x950BH that ncmudbug suggested comes with navigation and Bluetooth, among other things like HD radio (which the 2600dt you posted does not).
http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PU...on/AVIC-X950BH
Though it's $596 at Amazon.

Additionally, if you want to retain steering wheel controls, you will need this. http://www.oakale.com/products/Axxes...O4CWP9X98.html That goes for any radio you buy, regardless of cost/features. If you/passengers want to watch DVD's while driving, you will need a parking brake bypass (depends on which radio you get).

One more thing- The kit you posted doesn't come with the wire harness or antenna adapter. You may want this one instead of what you linked. http://www.ebay.com/itm/220708886802...84.m1436.l2649

Hope it answers any questions you have. The steering wheel thing is optional but highly recommended.
Were you going to do the install yourself or by a professional?

I'm going to an MBCA meet 'n greet with Becker on the 29th. I'll see if I can ask about antenna amplification at that meeting - I'd like to know more about the possibilities, as I'm surprised that an aftermarket radio could have an impact on that. Will post if I find out anything.
