I am about to order the car next week I was wondering how everyone like the car?

I have a 2002 a4 1.8t 5 speed sport w/ chip this car is a POS!!!

I am keeping it over winter just for the quattro. But next year I will have an SUV for winters .

Please I would love to hear your thoughts.

Oh I felt the knife in my back!!!

Hell 7 horns, new transmission, gas gauge did not work when car was new and that took 20 days to fix.

A family friend owns the dealership so I really did not raise hell. but He just found out about all of this and he has MB so I hope a house deal is my future.

Can't even compare the 2. With the exception of the crossfire, which is Chrysler and uses MB parts, no MB including the coupe had any parts made by Chrysler.

Back to the topic, that really sucks about the issues your having. As far as i've read there haven't been any major issues with the Sedan and most of the issues with the coupes seem to be in the 2002 model.

I'm not sure how fast your 1.8t was but the Sedan is not a speed demon and if you want the sportier feel go for the 6-Speed. Test drive it first because some people don't like the way the stick feels...I love it, some hate it.

IMO, the Kompressor Sedan gives you a lot for your money.

Good luck either way.

Erik

I drove it last week!!! I think it felt great. But I am going to go with the auto and not stick this time. I was shocked at how strong the enging felt and how the susp. handled. I think the car needs to be commended for that more!! You always read about the Audi, and BMW.

I also agree the car gives you alot for you $$$$

In comparison to my MB in same amount of time span my MB has gone to the dealer quite a few times more than my A4...BUT it could be something to do w/the fact my car is first batch of 203's. Really sorry to hear your Audi is a POS, I love my audi-just minor annoyances I've come to expect from german cars

If you value reliability above all, I'm afraid that by switching from Audi to Mercedes-Benz, you're going from the frying pan into the fire.

Neither is particularly reliable, but M-B is ranked lower than Audi in most reliability surveys.

Since the reason you seem to want out of the Audi is reliability, I just thought a heads up might be in order.

There are many good reasons to buy a Benz, but 100% reliability is not one of them.

I am not change to MB really for that reason I want and auto and dont want the same car I have now. I really like the C Class for a # of reasons. I dont know if there is a 100% realiable car out there. But what I am looking for the c looks like a good car.

Plus I love the look, wheels, and BIG brakes. oh ya the seats are better then audi. I slide out of them on the track

The C is a very nice car but after reading your posts. I really think you should test drive a few more cars. Can you give us the 3 most important things you would like in your future car?

Lame... many Audis are in most respects as good or better than Mercedes. Give me an A4 any day over a C sedan, an S4 over a C32.

chio, good luck with the car. While I prefer the 6 speed, the AT is a good choice and the touchshift works very well when you need it. As for options and if you are ordering, I would recommend the following: 819 6CD, 810 Bose, 873 Heated Seats, 319 Bi-Xenon Pkg. and 324 Sunroof Pkg. Power seats and split rear seats are nice but you can probably live w/o them.

Most cars at the dealer will have all but the 810 and 319 pkg. The Bi-Xenon gives you clear projector beam headlamps which are far and away better looking. Take a look at the brochure for an example.

As for colors, Pewter, Mars Red (new w/MY04 replacing Magma) and Black are favorites. I have also seen the new Granite Grey (MY04) and it is very interesting.

BTW, those front brake disks are nearly an inch larger (13.6 vs. 12.8) than those on the M3 and cross-drilled to boot. Of course the M3 is an awesome car, but it is nice to have something on them.

IMO I see the car as a very well rounded car. When I order the car I plan on getting 819,810,873,319,324 and the split rear seats and the bose stereo. Thanks for your help.

Hey Chio, you do know that you're required to post pics here when you get the car?

Best of luck, hope you really enjoy it.
