My salesman told me regular unleaded is perfectly fine to use in the C320. I'm scared to do that and use Unleaded PLUS only.
Anyone tried to run regular ???

i use recommended octane - 91. but since i can't get 91 here, i am forced to use 93. i am going to have the fuel settings changed to reflect this.
i would not use 89 or 87 octane.

I always use premium gas for my C320. I thought you must use the permium or at least 91 up for the C class. If not, the computer will display a error message such as check engine signal.
Correct me if I'm wrong. I think I read it somewhere in this forum.

Use 91 octane in a C-coupe according to the book. I wont risk cheaper gas. I dont want trouble down the line caused by detonation in a supercharged engine and theres power in them there octanes!

I use 93 octane, non-reformulated Chevron. Most areas of KY have reformulated gas, but there are a few locations very close to me where you can get non-reformulated gas. Also, 91 is not a very common option, but I'm planning on running nothing but 93 non-reformulated, if I can help it, anyway. Also, as Young said, I too am going to have the dealer change my settings when they turn on the Xenon option.

Actually, I can't find 91 octane in these here parts, so I have to use that 'spensive 93 octane stuff. Paid $1.19/gal 10 days ago, but It's now up to $1.39. What's up with that?
bagwell, as usual, you know more about your car than your salesmonkey... You could try 87 octane, but if your baby starts complaining, I'd take a banana to the dealership and...

I miss NJ gas prices, and more importantly full service at gas stations. Premium just reached $1.79 in the Bay Area.

Either Sunoco 94 Octane or Shell 93 Octane.
Range in price is $0.54 to $0.64 depending on day of the week.

too bad in CA the highest octane is 91 despite the high price (highest in the US except Hawaii)
shame on politicians
if 93 is available if will switch to 93 settings in the ECU immediately

I always use 91 octane. BTW, gas is relatively cheap in the US at 1.79 gallon! Here in Canada this week, its almost $2.64/ gallon (0.70/ litre)for REGULAR SELF SERVE 89 octane!

Where do you buy 93 in Calgary?
I think the most I see is 91 at Shell stations.
Thanks

That's per liter or about 1 /4 of a gallon. The price today ranges from $0.63 to $0.69 /liter depending on where in the city you fill up. Gas in the U.S.A is still a hell of a lot cheaper than here in canada.

Premium--93 octane (91 is not available in my area), either Mobil or Amoco. Won't gas of less than 91 octane will damage your engine? Yes, premium fuel is more expensive than regular, but you knew you knew that before you bought or leased the car, did you not? (Has anyone tried mixing 1/2 tank of 93 octane fuel and 1/ tank 89 octane fuel to see what happens?)
