SL - Coupe owners, you really think it looks like a Coupe?
well, went to autoaddictions in manayunk to see what they had. mostly wheels, some body kits. no garage.
mostly lorinser stuff (very little brabus, kleeman, etc.) had some good looking wheels but i wasn't interested.
while i was there, i saw my next car... you think it looks like a coupé? maybe a slight resemblance. this one is blue (capri?)

The front seems very similar, though I'd say the grille on the 230 is nicer. On the SL it looks....so empty, so huge, too huge perhaps. Maybe it needs the gaping mouth to keep its engine cool.
I agree with you on the side gill trim - it's gaudy on a dark colour, but it's one of the 300 SL-like retro touches everyone seems so (too?) fond of these days in design studios.

I actually saw an SL500 today at the Ft. Lauderdale Auto Show and mistook it for an '03 CLK.

while i LOVE the new SL (i have watched the commercial a dozen times) the side mirros seem TINY even by MB standards.... look like ears on a hippo or something.
just too damn small.
but it wouldnt deter me from buying an sl600 when i have 120 some grand laying around.
