I picked up a Climatronic off of eBay for about $100 and installed it in my old C240 fairly easily a couple years ago. It was a "novelty". I wound up pulling it out. I didn't like how it took longer to change temp using the buttons vs. the knobs on the analog unit. With the analog unit, I quickly twisted the temp knob to the temp I wanted. With the Climatronic it was either push, push, push, push, push, push... you get the idea. Or press and hold as the temp slowly changes.

By the way, your supersized pictures in combination with the little movie playing in your sig are killing my dial-up connection

For someone who demands "instant gratification" without the patience to push buttons,
it's ironic, they're using a "dial-up" connection versus DSL or something of that sort.

-----------------
anyway, Miroj, congrats on the CLIMATRONIC install...
Steve did a great job on mine as well a while back ! Good stuff !

I was going to ask what H/U you had and then I saw the text and knew it had to be an Audio 10. It really makes the interior in my opinion.

Your own huge signature annoys others just as much, and many already asked you to reduce it. Now, how is that for a payback?

"Many"? How "many"? One? Vadim, exaggerate much?
BTW, my sig is just lines of text which load up nearly insantly, even for lousy dial-up. Supersized pix and a frickin' movie take FOREVER to load.

For the websites I visit, and additional $40 a month for DSL on top of the $15 I already pay isn't worth it, but if anyone would like to donate $40/month to a DSL line fund for me, just send it to my Paypal account

Did you get your Audio10 installed by Steve too? If so, do you mind giving me a ballpark figure of what I should expect to pay (purchase plus installation).

The US stock stereo is okay at times, but doesn't seem of Bose quality. Even the stock system in my mom's S80 sounded better. According to forum members, it seems the Audio10 is much better so I may give that a try instead of installing an Infinity Basslink (since I don't want to drill holes in my trunk).

Here's an idea:

SELL the Nissan and the Toyota.... and get DSL.

this is a MB forum anyway, so who cares what other cars you have.
That kills 2 birds with 1 stone...

- faster online connectivity
- reduces your signature by 66%

Even one polite request by a fellow board member should be enough (which you ignored, BTW). There are at least 3 now. Your posts take up 50% of the screen, making others scroll just to see other posts - that's a good equivalent of having a 500k picture. You really have no right to whine about others' signatures.

The Nissan did sell in 3 days on eBay - I need to update my sig. It would be quite stupid to sell the Sequoia and have a single compact vehicle for a family of 4.

And you've said this to how many other members here that list their other non-MB vehicles in their sigs?
Or, have you just singled me out to whine about?

To repeat myself, the cost of DSL GREATLY outweighs its usefullness for the types of sites I visit.

Congratulations on being 100% wrong
First, the single comment wasn't really polite. Second, when the SINGLE (what happened to the "many" you claimed, huh?)
comment was made about my sig, I was in the middle of experimenting with it. I had every option listed in "bullet" form, making it very long. I changed it after I saw what it looked like.

Umm...no. My comment to mj50 wasn't about "scrolling". It was about the fact that his giant pix and a MOVIE( ) in his sig was wreaking havoc with my admittedly slow dial-up connection, which is probably still the most common residential internet connection in the US. Even if my sig took up 100% of the screen, it would still load almost instantly, even w/ dial-up.

Now, how long are you going to keep up this childish picking?
