Rear Sunshade, and rap music don't mix

Just noticed that when I play some music with a little more bass, the rear of the car rattles, and it's the rear sunshade vibrating from the sub woofer...my bass/terble is set to even on both for CD, and slightly more for the radio...I have the non-Bose, anyone else experience this? It happens most often when using the CD changer

I always thought it was the grill that was rattling. I've basically just turned down the bass when this happens. SUxors but what can you do about it

Hey....another good reason to throw that rap trash in the garbage, and start listening to some quality music.

You win the cookie.....Have a Nice Day!

Actually, not really...Certain songs like 50-cent or DMX that produce that deep thud bass even at moderate to low volume levels produce the rattle....

Quite easily, actually.

When it comes to hip-hop, I don't like listening to monotone voices who sing pop songs.

I maintain that Bach, or Wagner would be a better fit. More along the Bavarian theme, no?

Sorry kompressorchick, the cookie was given out for today, try posting tomorrow.

To each their own.....I listen to everything pretty much except for country....Alternative songs sound the best in the car, and rap song's or even some techno with plenty of bass even at low level's brings out the rattles...just an observation...wonder if something is loose back there

Kling Klang

How about Proto Techno.......KRAFTWERK.......

I'd recommend Autobahn, 1974

Great driving song when doing a bender at 200+ km/h. Try it sometime

There is something wrong there 'homeslice'. The last thing that would rattle in my car listening to rap is my sunshade. Maybe something is loose?

Give a listen to Tour de France Soundtracks by Kraftwerk; the 1st 4 and the last track are excellent! Otherwise, it's numbers & electric cafe for me...

Yep, I've got the EP (Euro release), great stuff - I think of it often when I get into the zone riding my ancient racing bike to work....

I like the Man-Machine too (scary album cover though) - the Model (esp. in German) is great!

Trans-Europ Express has its moments as well. Remember the line "...stop at Düsseldorf station, meet Iggy Pop and David Bowie...". They hung with some pretty avant-garde dudes, eh?

I think the album Computer World is where their sense of humour finally comes through. I'm the operator of my pocket calculator..., heh heh got to love that one...and there's more

The thing about Autobahn that is so haunting is it was released during the first oil crisis, when Sunday traffic was banned from the German motorways and it looked like a 100 km/h speed limit would be imposed forever at all other times. I remember the news reports at the time. It seemed as though Kraftwerk's Autobahn was a sort of swan song.

Anyone with a modicum of knowledge about music realises the massive influence that Kraftwerk has had on many forms of popular music. You don't have to like their stuff, but they have been a huge influence.

And I did not insult anyone's musical tastes, "rap" or otherwise....
