Hi ya, I have already searched and come up with a mixture of answer, i just got my audio 10 and its coming up prod, tried disconecting batery, pluging all connections back in but still the same problem.

Any idea's is it ****ed or is there a work around other than it going back to becker.

I had this problem with my first Audio 10, sent it in to Becker and they fixed it for free but it took over 2 months.

spoke to mer help line they have said its the star system that needs telling the audio10cd is present, and it should be fine fingers crossed

just remove the radio fuse why the unit is still hooked up to the harness, this should fix the problem.

Is my understanding that the Audio 10 goes into PROD when the unit is turned on with no CANBUS/fiber optic cable attached to it. When I installed my Audio 10 (before Comand) it worked perfectly without any MB or Stardiagnose intervention. So I guess the solution will be to send the unit to Becker unless MB has some new functionallity added to the Stardiagnose to solve your problem.

Maybe this is a dumb question, but what is "PROD"? I only ask because I'm doing my Audio 10 install soon and want to avoid any potential problems.

PROD means that the anti-theft feature has been enabled. The unit thinks it has been stolen and it will not function. Do not apply power to the unit until everything is connected.

I got the PROD screen a couple times while I was tinkering with the instal. It cleared itself after reconnecting/reinserting ignition key.

Ok my car's in at merc's having some warranty stuff done at the moment,

seat alarm
wing mirror prob's
wiper prob's
window noise
and tsb issue's

i have asked them to see if they can put auto fold on so when the key is removed or car is locked it auto folds the mirrors but htey said they'd have to check das for this setting but not sure, anyways i have check with my friend at merc's and he recons it can be done via das, as at present i have a audio10cc, which the car is set to and the audio10cd provides different info, even becker recons merc's can fix it, fingers crossed its going in saterday to try setting the radio up.

Unless you have the actual side mirror folding option, changing the DAS setting will do nothing.

I do have electric fold wing mirrors, so im hoping it can be done

Oh okay, I would have though the auto folding would work if you had the option...maybe it just when you have the memory function.

Update its the car that needs telling I have the audio10cd as the unit works fine in my dad's c class so its is a dealer trip. So im please that the radio aint ****ed, it was a good ebay buy @ £30 plus £12 p&p, which is about $80 bucks
