07 C230 has died once again. *insert sad face* [P0170 & P0173]
Lately my car has been throwing the p0173 Fuel Trim Malfunction Bank 2 code and would go away for a week or 2, the longest being a month. Just to come back for about the same duration and go away by it self again.
At the time I didn't think much of it so went meh, it goes away so what is the big deal?
I drove home from my appointment this afternoon parked on my street, walked inside and decided to just back my car into my driveway. When I started it her up, she sputtered and stalled. Try #2 would not crank over.
Whip out my obd2 scanner, now I have P0170 Bank 1 code now. Just great.
I am honestly not stressed out or mad, just laugh at the situation that my car has died again lol, only at 78k miles too.
Problems and diagnosis that I read online from various forums and websites suggest that I should:
1. Check my crank case hose(PCV)
2. Check my airbox since I've replaced the air filters about 2 or 3 months ago and might of not fully sealed the boxed correctly.
3. Clean the maf, partially could be due to the oils in the air filters.
Then if it has to come to it.
4. Buy new MAF.
5. Bring it to a shop.
Any suggestions or feedback would be great just in case I might of missed something.

First thing I did was disconnect the maf. Still wouldn't crank.
Someone mentioned the crank shafts position sensor but it would throw a code if it did.
At this point I've ran out of areas to troubleshoot.

You may have more than one problem at hand.
P0170 & P0173 point me to MAF. But you are saying the car is not starting even when you disconnect MAF.
When you try to start, does the starter engage? Did you check the fuel pressure at the rail?

Yeah, I tested the fuel pressure at the rails. No pressure at all. I managed to turn the car over by spraying carb cleaner down the tb, it came alive for about a second before sputtered into a stall.
Fuel pump/ filter needs to be replaced. :/

Not a difficult job to replace fuel pump and filter. If you are going to do the work, you may want to get a 1/4" swivel-head ratchet to tighten the collar ring. You will see what I am talking about when you look at how the pump is held in place.
If the fuel tank is full, remove most of the fuel, otherwise, fuel may splatter all over while trying to disconnect the pump and filter, and also while trying to 'route' the harness thru the tunnel in the tank (from pump to filter).

No other codes??
The p170 and p173 typically means that your MAF is dying/dead. But since the car isnt starting also - it sounds like you've got more than one issue.
When was the last time you replaced your fuel filter? How many miles do you have on it? Have you replaced the fuel pump before?
When my car had issues randomly dying at a light, it was originally thought to be a bad Crank Position Sensor, but the solution was replacing my fuel pump as it had gotten a bit tired after 140k miles.
Good luck!

It was weird, I drove home parked on the street. Walk inside the house and decide to go park it into the driveway. Would not turn out lol
Thank you guys for all your suggestions and feedbacks, I will definitely give you guys an update when I replace the filter and pump!

excellent.
I wonder why that connector became loose. Almost every connector typically has pin/notch to prevent it from coming off.
