Attention KLEEMANN! Help me to understand why...
I'm wondering this pully isn't the one for the alternator is it? It's part of the Kompressor(supercharger) right??
I just ordered the car.. and i'm not too certain about performance parts so yeah....
more into phones myself... =)
thanx...
edit: oh yeah by the way wat's the impact to the amount of power to the car provided from the alternator? cuz i'm gonna put a sound system in the car.. gonna have to wonder about that...
hehehehe

The pulley is for the crank (engine). The SC pulley is pressed on the shaft- impractical to remove/replace. Not to mention that the SC pulley is already small, reduce its size and give away belt wrap area. If we increase the SC belt plane diameter eveerything on that drive spins faster ( SC and ALT). We supply an ALT pulley so it turns as the same speed as stock, not slower. You will have full AMP rating.

Thanks for keeping this post alive while I was away, I see you added a few pages. Interesting stuff on the dinan website about pullies. Makes ya think that the ring might be the safer way to go when at first I thought it was the less safer way to go because of the possibilty of the ring coming loose. Nothing that loctite wouldn't cure though. After all Kleemann said that a pulley not made to a close enough tolorance would shake the engine apart which is what Dinan says. If this were a serious issue though I would imagine that you would hear more about it on the SLK230 forums considering that engine has been around some years with pulley kits available from various manufacturers. Someone that goes through the trouble of putting a pulley kit on is not the gentlest of drivers.
Mark Cummings,
Did you do the pulley rings yet? Do you have a dyno with your Upsolut chip?
hows everything going with you?
which doesnt sound like fun.
I just wish my car will hold together long enough to try a pulley. MB's are just not built to last like american iron. That's why I need an upgrade that's easy on/easy off. Does Kleemann make a velcro attached pulley ring?
And I think they will find out when they go to take the water pump pulley off to work on the water pump and they can't get it off because of the larger crankshaft pulley.
