Does any one know the color code markings for the front springs of a w203 with sport suspension? I am looking on the ECS website, and they offer many styles. I would like the shorter/stiffer springs if possible. Thank you for your help!
ECS does not have front springs for a c55 for sale on their website. Do you know the color codes for the c55 front springs? I can buy them used or new from another place.
Hi guys. I was wondering if there's a difference in length between the two. I drive a 2002 c240. I got a hold of an AMG springs for the c55/clk55 and replaced my stock springs. The car is now lower than when it was sitting previously on stocks. However, I've noticed that it didn't lower the car enough to what I was expecting. I'm not expecting much since I know it's still OEM, but I'm puzzled when I see a stock c230 sport/kompressor and compare the two, the gap between the tire and the front fender on the c230 is about 1-1/4 in. (2 fingers) and mine sits around 2-1/2 in. (3 fingers).
I'm quite happy with the rears, about 1-1/4 in., leaving the stock pads as well, I believe it was #2.
It's my first time working on this car with my son. Not a lot of know how on this car yet but a lot of the repairs we've done so far was done due to all forum member's contribution. For that, again I'm thankful. I've not been able to find a straight answer to this inquiry though when I search the forums. Thanks in advance for your time and expertise.
If you would like, I can sell you my H&R front springs. I just put the car back to oem today. I have a 2003 c240. The car drove surprisingly well with them and lowered the car a great amount - same wheel gap as the re. I had #1 pads in the rear. 80+shipping. They have 7,000 miles on them and are in perfect shape. I think they are just what will solve your question.
Also, what a goose chase to find the correct color codes for a sport package 2006-2007 c230! I tried my hardest, even at mercedes dealer. After installing a set today, the front went back to just below original oem. I will raise the back from. #1 to #3 pad this week to even it out.
