Yes, you can get the MB Audio 10 radio with CD. You can order it from most European MB dealers, find it on Ebay.de or check out previous posts for a group buy. Also Becker sells this same exact radio under a different name. From what I've heard, call the dealer in Stutgart, they speak english and ship to the U.S.

As far as I know you can not go to Circuit City or Best Buy and just get a radio and have it installed. It won't work with the dash display or steering wheel controls, it will be very difficult to get a dash plate and bracket unless you can custom fabricate one. The factory radio is not DIN, it's not flat and it's not a rectangle.

Installation instructions or operating instructions?

I think I can provide you with operating instructions (I have a Swedish edition of the users-manual, but can consider translating it into english if some of you want me to)
I cannot provide you with installation instructions though...

Question Can you post contact info?

I am sure it has been asked to death, but can someone post contact info for the or a recommended place to get the in-dash CD player? And how much? (I am assuming the previous post is a used unt since it was off of eBay?)

Is the sound the same as the US stock radio?

How hard is the install?

Appreciate the help...

jagiboy, yes....i did it with mine....the pics will be up on Monday...they are on my computer at home....

As far as the steering wheel....if you go to an aftermarket one, and have a good installer, everything will work except for the telephone feature......where do you live??

Benzy...I called my friend in Germany and asked him to get me a BM AUDIO CD 10 cd player from a dealer there...the dealer (MB) wud'nt sell one...telling that an authorized dealer from US shud contact them....and some crap.
I was also told that this player would work without a need a program the computer and also with the steering whell controls..

Btw i am in Charlotte,NC..

if you can get the MB AUDIO 10 CD it is directly replacable with your cassette player I guess and will work with the steering wheel controls. But either AM or FM doesnt work due the channel spacing in Europe.

Some one posted the link, try ebay.de and search for MB AUDIO 10 CD

btw if you can get...get 2, I will pay for one..

It will work with the steering wheel controls. It will also interact with the MFD (for channels broadcasting RDS the RDS-messages will be displayed on the MFD).

FM will work fine since the spacing between frequences is in 0.1-steps. What differents Europe from US is that Europe uses FM-frequences with odd decimals like 105.1 or 106.7 where (as I've understood it) US uses frequencies with even decimals, like 105.2 or 106.8. All the frequenceis, both even and odd decimals, can be handled by the Audio 10.

I've heard that AM works too, but not to 100%, due to the use of different frequency bands in Europe and US. But you will be able to tune in some AM-stations as well.
