New Member here.

Just wanted to say hi.

My name is Peter, I just picked up my MB 2004 C230 Kompressor 3 weeks ago.

white. 4 door

I picked up this car cause I wanted to make sure I dont make the same mistake I did with the last one. which is turning it into a show car... I figered that if I get a MB, there is no way I can mod it or have the money to mod it.....

this was my last car a corolla http://www.cardomain.com/id/supershyguy_trd

but boy was i wrong.....

I just got the car and I already have alist of stuff ordered

-18" AMG Rims
-Clear euro corner lens
-H&R Cup Kit
-CL Grill
-Flat hood emblem
-Lip Spoiler

and Brabus rear lip I am looking at right now already lol

anyways just wanted to say hi

lol it happens to the best of them. Me coming from 2 highly modified Jap cars(celica and a eclipse gst spyder) I was tired of spending all that money(now that I compare what I spent now though it really wasnt THAT much...)I got into a C Class in early '01 thinking I wouldnt modify it. I stayed stock for almost TWO years!! But Dood the mod bug bit me! Anyways any questions feel free to post up and us 'veterans' will help a fellow enthusiast out

Thank you for the welcome.

I do have one question. I see that the H&R cup kit lowers the car by 2"

is there a way to lower the front a bit more?

I will never cut springs usually

but I heard some one said you can cut half a coil to make the front lower with out messing anything up??

ya I just got the car. so I might have lots of questions in the next few days.. :p

Welcome to the board shyguy. I think you'll be adding a bit more to that list, this is just the begining. You said you were looking at Brabus lip and spoiler. You have any hookups on it? If you do, let me know.
Thanks, Mike

Yup, but its also the company show car that helped me make enough money to pay for the MB lol

so I love them both

In Canada, the C230 Kompressor Sedan is sold as the base "Classic" model or the "Sport" model. I think Supershyguy's ride is the "Classic" model and the standard rims are the same 16" rims found on the C-Coupe.

This is already a vast improvement. The previous years' "Classic" models came with steel rims and plastic wheel covers!!

I see, no wonder the door handles are black on shyguy's car. Well, at least you got just a little more choice for options than us across the boarder...

More choices, yes.
When I bought my C240 back in 2002, there was the "Classic", "Elegance", and "Sport" models.

The "Elegance" model is the equivalent of the C240 sold in the USA.

The black door handles and black grill with only 2 chrome lines are the most obvious signs of the "Classic" models. Prior to 2004, plastic wheel covers were the norm (which REALLY cheapens the look of the car). Cloth seats with no wood trimming on the doors were also standard.

the standard C240/320 are all Elegance models. The C320/C230k sport at least for now are the Avantgarde models. 2005 we would get the sport/avantgarde model along w/ the AMG evolution package.

nice AVATAR btw. any chance you would have the main character's VF-1A pic?? or any other sky valkyries?

heheh. A Macross fan? No, I'm afraid I don't have Hikaru's or Roy's VF picture. You can check out www.macrossworld.com and see if you find something there.

I've been a Macross fan, but didn't really know a lot about it's storyline untill recently. I'm waiting for the last episode of Macross Zero to download. also trying to find original animes as well.

VF19 and 21 from Plus is cool.
