I have a 2005 c230 kompressor coupe and I'm getting the trouble code P2404 The stop lamp switch signal sent from the traction system via the CAN bus is implausible.
Does anyone know what the problem might be ? Has anyone had this problem before ?
Thanks

It has ESP code C1330 and there's is no stop lamp switch on this model (2005 c230 coupe)or I would have already changed it. Instead this car has a pedal travel sensor located in the brake boaster and a brake pressure sensor in the master cylinder.

So basically the BAS position sensor on the brake boosrer is being used as the stop lamp switch. I have never seen these give stop lamp problems!
Stop lamp switch on the other hand I have replaced plenty. Stop lamps usually still work but ESP lamp comes on.

It's looking like I have to replace the brake booster. When I scan the car with my launch creader vii I get the codes P2404, c1330, c1201 and the car won't come out of park. The brake solenoid and brake lamp switch are in the brake booster so gonna have to change whole unit.
